re: If Drag Queens intentions are pure, why don't they simply wear their everyday clothes

Is anyone actually SURPRISED that flamboyant burlesque performers engage in attention-seeking behavior?
I dont think people have a problem with the shows, its that they are targeting children with the shows.
Many dont believe that children should see that. Or strippers, or watch people shoot up with heroin.
Some things are inappropriate for children, but in todays screwed up world (thanks social media) it has become a race to see who can do the worst or most outlandish.

How come there is no cis gendered she/hers burlesque storytime? Or no exotic dancer storytime?
They are trying to hide the grooming behind the shield of gblt tolerance. So they can cry phobe to anyone who questions it.
GBLT need to speak out as the pedos are using them and have inserted their ideology into a GBLTP movement.
For the record stripper and burlesque storytime is also inappropriate.

I agree with something Hank said the other day. Which means I probably have another 99 downvotes to go before I agree with him again

I probably would NOT have taken my girls to a DQST (they are teens now, and would be bored anyway). This is NOT because I am so deluded as to believe that the performer is going to try to rape my kids at the library. I just think it would be confusing for a little kid.
If I WERE to have taken them, I would have been damned SURE that I took them to see the performer in the top photo above (outlandish in a cute and funny way and almost certainly entertaining), and NOT the performer in the bottom photo (none of those things). The first performer looks RuPaul funny, and the second looks like a cheap streetwalker on Harry Hines in Dallas.
I just feel VERY strongly that it is not REMOTELY my place to tell YOU where YOU can take YOUR kids.
That is YOUR role. Not mine.

You keep making this libertarian argument when most people are probably talking about societal condemnation/shaming, not government regulation.
Or performer shaming, as the case may be here.

Imagine the heads exploding if there were a MAGA story time.
Perhaps good Patriots should approach the Public Libraries where these demented fks are spitting in the face of decency and demand MAGA Storytime, then SUE when inevitably they are denied.

Of course not.

You have a cock pick as your screen saver, don’t ya?
And No! Never have attended one of those abominations. Doesn’t surprise me that you have.

The whole idea is to make our young people think that they are normal. But in reality, if your a man and you look in the mirror and see a woman, then you have psychological issues. Period

How is this different than you assuming a poster has latent homophobia or transphobia because they argue against drag queen story hour?
The answer to that rhetorical question is “it’s not.” You got shot with your own gun. Buck up, Suzy.

The latter is unacceptable. You should understand this.

I just think the glaring hole in the argument is the complete absence of any real purpose here aside from exposing children to the concepts of gender and sexuality confusion.
I mean, flamboyantly gay theatre performers brought in to do story time in a crossdressed costume pertinent to the reading might be uncomfortable, but I suppose you could make some sense of the concept. Random drag queens from local clubs - who perform shows for adults with varying degrees of adult content - reading books to small children isn't in that category.

Hank thinks shite-talking while attempting to imitate Buckley is somehow different than shite-talking while talking like a normal person instead of a faux intellectual. It's really not.
Of course, he apparently also believes that it's common for straight people to attend drag shows, so who the hell knows what's going on in there.

He's probably right, but the straight people who do so are the worst demographic in the world - the social media obsessed, "my best friend is a gay guy", "my kids are my life y'all but I need my time with my girls," "Jason Aldean is bae" - the divorced white woman

You ask this like it’s asking if someone ever watches TV or goes to the park.
What a loser and twat you are.

Of course that's the purpose; everybody knows that's the purpose. Some people just like to troll.
