just saw the complete video from the initial effort to arrest Brooks until he was shot. As he broke away and was running with taser in hand with police in chase he turned and fired the taser at the officers as the were about 10 feet away. It is claimed the officers responded with excessive force by shooting him. What seems to be lost in that argument is that if Brooks shoots them with the taser and stuns them he might have disarmed them and taken their guns and the officers would be in peril. "Yet, in the haste to further the agenda the despicable and deplorable media and the radicals immediately claim one more innocent black man allegedly killed in a " non violent " encounter with the police. CNN now has the Brooks family attorney milking the sympathy angle of Brooks' young children losing their father and pinning total blame on the police and not on Brooks who was violent and resisted arrest then shot at the officers with the taser. As a country we are getting what we have been willing to toerate.

After a police shooting a few years ago, a few public officials where put in a simulation and came out with more respect for law enforcement

When it comes to race issues functioning brains are in rare supply. There is no balanced discussion, no willingness to accept personal responsibility, and a clear agenda in which the ends justify the means no matter how violent and destructive.

.... or they could have let him run 50 yards because he's old and would have been out of breath and arrested him then.

Fighting cops is a bad idea, but they didn't not need to shot him in the back for a dui. Cop is an idiot.

People like you always see these scenarios in the best possible light for the thugs. Why ? Look around the country and see where that has taken us.

I'm sure the white wannabe radicals in my area (Druid Hills/Decatur) are working feverishly on updating their yard signs and posting about it on NextDoor. Smartest thing I've done in a while is turn that shite off. I don't want to actively despise 90% of humans in a three-mile radius.

Is this confirmed that he took the taser and definitely fired it at the cop?

He was shot in the back for stealing the cops taser and using it against them, waterhead.

He was a loving father purchasing sandwiches for his children, and was gunned down on the Atlanta streets for it.

I wonder where the Maginot Line will be in Atlanta as the rioters head to the suburbs and the baws meet them with overwhelming weaponry?

Them Forsyth boys show up the party is over, and the crying starts.

Why did he fight/run? Warrants? On probation? He was cool, friendly, respectful and cooperative until the cuffs came out.

Democrats don't care. Cops are a new enemy right next to conservatives. If one of their foot soldiers kills a cop, it's a great thing. If one of their foot soldiers is killed by a cop protecting themselves, well, time to lie and riot!

Yes, he was on probation and this would also be his second DUI charge.

I had a cop relative who told me they reacted very slowly to certain crimes scenes in certain neighborhoods and or drove slowly while sounding their sirens to give perps time to vacant. To keep from getting involved in a no win situation. So the biggest victims are the good Americans largely living in black neighborhoods. I guarantee you they don't want to disband the police. And what fool would want to be a policeman.

Obviously neither Floyd nor this guy learned much of a lesson from the criminal justice system as both got 7 years for inhumane acts and both were still criminally active the last day of their lives. So what is the answer?

Edit to say: Chauvin was very wrong to not remove his knee. However the Atlanta thing is very different, this guy was a serious threat who tried to take officer's weapons and use them on the police And did. And obviously had he been totally successful the public would have been in grave danger.

Best believe the police will be reacting even more slowly in those neighborhoods and even in other areas. They will see far less evil and will begin to allow thugs to live another day rather than engage in serious pursuit. The crime rat is fixing to sky rocket and the arrest records and prosecution records will decrease exponentially.
