I just saw the complete video from the initial effort to arrest Brooks until he was shot. As he broke away and was running with taser in hand with police in chase he turned and fired the taser at the officers as the were about 10 feet away. It is claimed the officers responded with excessive force by shooting him. What seems to be lost in that argument is that if Brooks shoots them with the taser and stuns them he might have disarmed them and taken their guns and the officers would be in peril. "Yet, in the haste to further the agenda the despicable and deplorable media and the radicals immediately claim one more innocent black man allegedly killed in a " non violent " encounter with the police.

CNN now has the Brooks family attorney milking the sympathy angle of Brooks' young children losing their father and pinning total blame on the police and not on Brooks who was violent and resisted arrest then shot at the officers with the taser.

As a country we are getting what we have been willing to toerate.

One of the threads claimed that he did shoot them with the taser and the cop was convulsing a bit when he shot him.

It doesn’t matter. Criminal conduct is irrelevant, facts are not allowed.

Police Butality and Racism reign supreme.

That Brooks had some good wrestling skills. He had two cops on him and was still quick to get a switch and escape. If he he didn’t have some wrestling training he missed his calling.

They want the police to not give chase in such situations.

I wonder where the Maginot Line will be in Atlanta as the rioters head to the suburbs and the baws meet them with overwhelming weaponry?

I haven't read any articles in this story, watched the video but only once so didn't really get a good feel for what happened.

Is this confirmed that he took the taser and definitely fired it at the cop?

Maybe if the cop had his taser gun still, he could have used that instead? Wait, Nvmd

I believe I read the mayor said there's footage that he fired at the cop.

What's the odds he had some "super human drugs" in his system?

Cops usually are able to keep control especially if it is 2 on 1.

Yes. CNN showed two videos. The first video was the attempted arrest and Rashard Brooks wrestling with the two officers on the ground. He flipped them and bounced up and then emerged with a taser. He starts running with the oficers in pursuit with guns drawn.

The second video shows the the officers chasing Brooks. As the officers are about 10 feet behind him Brooks turns and fires the taser at them, turns and continues running when he is shot and collapses.

Dead criminals get replaced all the time, so why are you upset when they die?
