My best friend just voted in Slidell and an ID is not required to vote. Just have to sign an affidavit stating voter is telling the truth about their name.
What the heck?

Owl will be here shortly to tell us how states have rights to run their elections. When States cannot enforce a simple rule like Voter ID. It's time for a change. They have proven themselves corrupt

Lol. What is the value of an affidavit if there isn't any proof as to who the affiant is???

Exactly. That proves it's BS and the only purpose it serves is for fraud

ID is required in St. Tammany. If you can’t produce it, they give you the affidavit to attest to your identification. After that, they are supposed (note “supposed”) to follow up on their end to confirm identification.

Reports coming out from Slidell that 10,000 people named Juan Valdez without a ID have signed the affidavit. Quinnipiac just released a poll from Louisiana showing Trump +3.

It’s been this way for years in all of Louisiana.

WRONG
Every time I've voted in Louisiana, I had to produce my DL to verify whether I was on the Precinct rolls

That's the law statewide.

The provisional ballot with the affidavit is cross-checked with the signature on file at the parish clerk of court to confirm identification. If the signature matches then the provisional ballot is counted. If it doesn't match the ballot is not counted.

That has been the procedure for many years.

If you don't have an ID, you fill out a affidavit.

quote:

If the applicant does not have one of the forms of identification provided in Subparagraph (a) of this Paragraph, the applicant shall complete and sign an affidavit, which is supplied by the secretary of state, to that effect before the commissioners, which affidavit shall include the applicant's date of birth and mother's maiden name. If the applicant is unable to read or write or is otherwise unable to complete the affidavit due to disability, the applicant may receive assistance in completing the affidavit and the commissioner shall make a notation on the affidavit. The applicant may receive the assistance of any person of his choice, including a commissioner, except a candidate, commissioner-in-charge, the applicant's employer or employer's agent, or the applicant's union agent. The commissioners shall place the affidavit in the envelope marked "Registrar of Voters" and attach the envelope to the precinct register. However, an applicant who is allowed to vote without the picture identification required by Subparagraph (a) of this Paragraph is subject to challenge as provided in R.S. 18:565.

St. Tammany will be 75% Trump. A Democrat hasn't won St. Tammany since JFK in 1960.

Well signing that affidavit means he was filling out a provisional ballot
A provisional ballot is only counted if it will change the outcome of the election

quote:

The affidavit

that is him ,,the friend ..claiming this
which is hysterical because you're using a post from an anonymous poster saying that a friend told him
and that's your proof of the State not being able to run an election

its like a oweo story but shorter

And that,, is what you are claiming is your ironclad proof that we need federal intervention and doing away with the 10th

Correct

There is always a little old election worker checking the book with your name and address against your id and you have to sign. I have never voted in LA and was not asked to provide ID. It is also that way in my current home state of MS. They will not allow you to vote in a precinct if you are not on their rolls.

Totally wrong. In both Caddo and Bossier parishes I have to present my ID.
I don't take it out till they insist that I have one.

Again, if you don't have an ID, you fill out an Affidavit. I posted the actual law on this already in this thread.

Your info will later be checked to confirm you are who you say you are and are registered for that area.

They will not refuse to let you vote if you tell them you don't have an ID.
