Incredible. No industry should be reliant on under the table payments to illegal immigrants.

We also know the people that work at these places scam our welfare system to fill in the gaps.

Nothing wrong with this. These are obviously working people and are helping the economy. Deport them later. Get the shitheads out now.

The months are passing by and there are not millions of deportations. This large deportation you dream about will never happen.

The acceptance of *not quite as bad as Biden's immigration policy* is striking.

If true, carving out specific industry exceptions (special treatment) to deportation is the death knell of Trump’s campaign promise to Americans. Slippery slope into no hope. Dems win again.

Trump admin has no cohesive plans. It’s all just trial and error with selling “owning the libs” as a natural byproduct.

the diehard MAGA crowd doesn't want to hear this, but deep, deep down, they know it's true... but their pride and need to be right will NEVER allow them to admit it....

but there will be a day when the fog will lift and those that have been duped will come to see the light, about they were sold a bill of goods by a con man who had absolutely zero interest in the things that mattered most to the people who supported him

Make them like republicans and you will want them here. It's not as though they are not already cleaning your motel room, cooking your food or harvesting it off the farms. You need to think longer term. I suspect Trump is.

It's hard to believe, but true, this admin as zero ideological anchors. If not on immigration, what are their anchor issues?

Can't wait fo rthe "allowing some illegals isjust art of the deal, it's a brilliant way to own the libs" posts coming up.

I think this is a mistake. I can’t think of many issues over the course of my lifetime that had as broad and deep support as deportations.

100% fact. He has no principles. Everything is up for negotiation.

But don't worry, the hardliners will find a way to spin/defend.

So it wasn't about principle after all. Color me shocked that populism is inconsistent even when they are right.

The Trump administration has directed Immigration and Customs Enforcement to halt arrests at farms, restaurants and hotels amid concerns that the president's crackdown on illegal immigration is hurting key industries, two sources familiar with the abrupt policy change told CBS News. The pause on worksite immigration enforcement operations applies to the agricultural, hospitality and restaurant industries, which rely in large part on labor from immigrants, many of whom are in the U.S. unlawfully, the sources said, requesting anonymity to discuss internal actions. The scaling back of some ICE operations reflects increased concern among industry leaders that the Trump administration's aggressive and government-wide immigration crackdown was hindering their businesses and the broader U.S. economy by spooking their workforce. It also marks a significant pivot for the Trump administration, which has vowed to deport millions of immigrants living in the country without legal status, regardless of whether they have criminal histories. And it comes amid a vast expansion in immigration arrests across the U.S. that has triggered protests against ICE activity in major American cities, including Los Angeles, where Mr. Trump has deployed the National Guardsmen and U.S. Marines in response to instances of violence.

Yes. This ...

... is an example of a rational mind at work. A 58 year old Mexican who shows up to his job every day and doesn't cause trouble isn't the priority. The vermin in the streets waving foreign flags and saying frick America is the priority.

Much of this thread is just "I WANT IT NOW!!!!" hysterics. Not much different than the leftoids.
