Why is Broadmoor, Sherwood Forest, and Tara they way they are now, and why has Livingston Parish exploded ? You know why.

The separation predates that behavior though. It used to be called segregation though.
It still is segregation, it's just not strictly along racial lines.

How do you know he isn’t an ex-con needing a GED who likes to bang fatties and could use a new bicycle?

I’m starting a new job next week so he’d have to get all his indoctrination from you all.

I went to La Bellaire in the 4th Grade, Mrs Theard was my teacher. I'm 64 now. The school was almost entirely White, but that changed, and the next year my Parents sent all the kids to live with my Grandparents in Covington, to go to the best public and parochial school systems in the State

Nothing is stopping you from moving into the hood and sending your kids to the poorest schools in the country. Don’t let anyone stop you please. You are a liberal like the Obamas that segregate themselves from that stuff?

It’s no longer explicitly perpetuated by the government.
I’m curious about your racially diverse neighborhood in BR.

I’ve been here for 50 years. I’m 60. Went to La Belle Aire Elementary, Sherwood Junior High, Belaire High, LSU, and Southern. Worked at Mcdonalds, Piccadilly, Postlethwaite and Netterville. 1976-present. Played BREC football and been cycling LSU lakes for 40 years.
If you’re 60 and graduated from Belaire, I very likely know you. We graduated together.

Don't care if I ever meet you.
Your opinions and mindset suck.
You vote here.
We prefer you live elsewhere.

First time I've ever agreed with your low life low iq self. We would definitely never run in the same circles. You wouldn't want an alpha male as a friend no more than I'd want a low IQ liberal lunatic.

I prefer you post elsewhere. Oh well.

You’re unhinged. But if our paths somehow did cross, I’d be nice to you anyway and you’d have no idea what my politics are.

I bet you go through a lot of jobs. lol. You can't keep one while being lazy, ugly, fat, and pro-Socialist....not to mention you aren't the brightest bulb in the fixture.

The "racially diverse" folks who live here (at least the ones I've spoken to) purposely indulged in that pattern of "residential and social separation" because that's not the culture they want to be a part of.
Exactly. Very few white people mind living near black neighbors who behave like civilized people.

quote:I actually do! I don’t stick around if I don’t respect the people I work for. But I did my exit interview Friday and I was asked what they could do to get me to stay. I told them that this was the longest job I’ve ever had (almost 5 years!) and that’s a testament to the leadership. But I’m moving on to what is basically my dream job, or a launching pad for my dream job so it’s just time to move on.
I bet you go through a lot of jobs. lol.

A formerly incredible place to grow up and live that was destroyed by an influx of really bad people after Katrina, who then stuck together and elected some really corrupt, culturally similar politicians to finish the city off.

Tried to get me to stay.

Busing Minority Students from Glen Oaks, Scotlandville, and Baker into Central
I remember those days. A kid from Brookstown and a kid from Glen Oaks beat the hell out of each other on the bus one day. Fought each other using combination locks. One got expelled, the other was back at school the next week fighting with Central kids.
