I'd argue it was mostly lost during the election of George W and has just fallen from there, but I'm also only 36 so my timelines are skewed.

She has selective memory. Her side called W a war criminal and mocked him for being stupid for the better part of eight years. Then Obama came along and mocked conservatives (and most of productive society) for clinging to their bibles and guns.

I cannot wrap my head around why people view gov employees as some golden goose that can never lose their job due to budget cuts. This happens every day to very good people and they get on with life.

You do realize that they were not paying into Social Security and so this leaves them with nothing for retirement?

While I'm independent, I tend to end up very right wing on most things, so it's interesting to watch how the different sides view things without having to justify anything mentally.

He is wrong. We pay into both Social Security and a pension. You can request to not pay Social Security if you have a pension but I dont know anyone that has.

There is a thread on the OT with that exact title.

Except it sounds like he is an actual boomer with 38 years of "service" and not some shitlib retard working an email job or cleaning toilets at some national park.

Also, he was intelligent enough to take the EARLY RETIREMENT BUYOUT that was literally offered the week before the RIF.

When I saw his thread title I was licking my lips to get in there and shite post before seeing his OP

because anyone who doesn't realize that this is a normal part of any healthy economy should be angry at the people who set up any protected this scam and not at the people who are tired of handing out goodies to ungrateful neer-do-wells - especially if they have been 'working from home' for 3 years.

IF they are so dumb that they never realized that they were living high and mighty doing little to nothing while the majority of Americans were out working their asses off to just support their families at above poverty levels then I have zero sympathy for them - and the fact that they would be out screaming about how they've been "mistreated" is just invites more scorn they have to endure.

Anyone who was actually working and earning their salaries will be able to find a new job easily. I suspect there are not too many of th

2016 those same people crying where laughing at the blue collar workers who were told to learn to code. Karma is bitch sometimes. Unlike most, they had this idea they would be untouchable till retirement regardless of what they put in(work wise).

Seeking it out... as in those nerds making their own selfie videos and posting them to social media, where they are amplified to receive a shite ton of views to pedal a political message and counter the current democratically elected Presidential administration and the agenda it was elected overwhelmingly to carry out?

The FERS pension formula is based on your "High-3" average salary and your years of creditable service. Generally, it is calculated as 1% of your High-3 salary for each year of service, with a 10% increase if you retire at age 62 or older with 20 or more years of service.

They are all full of shite. No one is losing a pension.

Why are you seeking this stuff out? Help me understand the obsession with laughing at strangers who lost their jobs through no fault of their own. How does that MAGA? Obviously I’m going to get downvoted but I’m hoping someone will attempt to explain this behavior.

It's weird how this board just constantly jacks off to this. MAGA and Progressives are opposite sides of the exact same coin and both are two fricking blind to see it.
