Well, I don't want to victim shame, but Portland has been a shite-hole for years.

Told you before, my sister lives there:

- Had their cars stolen twice (for joy rides -- who does that anymore).
- Organized crime had a 'moving company' show up at a next door neighbor, and took everything, while the family was on long weekend trip. Sister told me the neighbors were scarred by the experience, would not leave their residence for weeks... then moved, far away.
- Have trash pickup twice a month (but complains of us in the south with twice a week)... OK. Must keep trash refuse, especially carcasses frozen in freezer until day of pickup.
- Lives in an area with tremendous natural resources but pays some of the highest utility rates. Her water bill is so high, if I told you, you'd immediately think I was a liar.
- Tells me about how the homeless problem, is something she realized she was wrong about. It's only gotten worse, through subsidizing.
