You seem to think this precludes what we're talking about here. That's cute.

Is there an easier grift than the religious one?

Why do I feel like Obi-Wan right now having to explain to Anakin that Chancellor Palpatine is evil? But for those who have been living under a rock and has not seen the first 3 Star Wars movie let me just say this to you. Putin is evil. He is not our friend. If you wanna trust and like him then you do so at your own peril.

Nobody mentioned this guy or his wife:

Putin really is a killer who runs a kleptocracy. I am not under any illusions. He is eminently hostile to the United States and would love to see our downfall.

I was pointing out that people here admire him because he unabashedly pursues Russian interests unlike our leaders.

Yep. At least he loves his country. Democrats hate ours, which is why they're doing everything to "fundamentally transform" it.

I don’t have to guess what Putin’s intentions are or what he’s going to do. We all know he’s a slimy old school KGB guy willing to do whatever it takes to elevate Russia.

Screw that.

Putin would nuke the US if he knew there wouldn’t be M.A.D.

Wish he could be taken out immediately.

Not part of one world order, and thus, vilified is exactly correct. ... but since he’s a communist dictator, it’s complicated.
He is an ally to take down the globalist...and Trump IS playing that card..

Putin love Russian and the Russian People. He'd never dissolve their Nation and Culture, with an open border policy. Putin will do whatever it takes to serve Mother Russia.

The Dems would, and are. That is fact.

I hated the Soviet Union growing up. That said, Putin is farther right than the progs here in the USA.

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

shite if Russia had warm beaches and decent food, I would be firing up my VISA for trial run.

You're not crazy. What we've seen of the Left for the past 5ish years in particular has been something(s) none of us thought in our wildest dreams that we'd witness. You're not crazy for your sentiments.....it's they who are crazy, the Left.

The difference is that Putin actually cares about his people and country, and isn't trying to tear it down.

I mean, so long as his people don't talk back too much or try to undermine his quest for nearly unfettered authority.

I think it's fine to admire one's enemy and said enemy's commitment to their cause. But I certainly don't "like" someone who works daily to diminish the United States. Putin isn't over in Russia shaking his head about what the left is doing here. He's loving America's implosion.

Just lied and deceived like dogs. Really kicked them when they were down.

That's the real history of why US Russian relations are so bad.

Then, after all that, they use Russia as a scapegoat for political purposes... with all the election meddling BS.

Just sad that we made an enemy out if what could have been a friend.

This is very naïve, because geopolitics is ruthless, and there is no guarantee that had we treated Russia as a friend they would actually be allies. The truth is that the West took little by little to see what the Russians could withstand, and seeing weakness, took more and more. Whose fault is that? The West will continue to do it too, because they can. Both Bush presidencies were utterly explicit on ensuring Russia could never challenge the US as a hegemon again, and that's the policy the US has pursued.

I honestly don't know where this impression comes from. Putin has paid far more attention to the security state and has sought to ensure the people that benefit the most of state policy are members of his circle. It's repeated quite a bit without any mention of a specific policy too.

An ex KGB goon has permanently installed himself as the president of Russia and is now one of the wealthiest people in the world. With that said, Putin isn’t near the threat to America as the NWO American Marxist.
