Trump has done nothing but fuel the division by threatening Ron this week.

The divide being so prevalent today almost seems deliberate. It’s weird.

It’s really the never Trumpers pushing this. Like SFP, who admitted to voting for Kanye.

So these are the same people that got Biden elected that are pushing the divide.

They want you to know you are the problem, that your anti abortion stance is the problem, your America first preference is the problem.

There’s a trump cult of personality…not all trump voters fall into that group but they are significant…a lot of them post here.

I will say this. The more Trump goes after DeSantis the more anti-trump I will be because that becomes basically the grizzled old veteran quarterback past his Glory Days being jealous of the hot shot up and Comer who's winning games

Trump era is over. He is killing the party. The trump die hards can’t see it. DeSantis is the future.

Everyone who isn’t a mindless Trump train rider can see that Trump’s time has passed. However, there are millions of people (which includes posters here) like my Ms delta relatives who bought a red hat in 2015 or 2016 and sold their soul and sanity and pledged their undying loyalty to Trump.

The MSM is about to give trump more time than they ever have. They know he is a problem for conservatives and he will lose to Biden again.

Some of you need to get your head out of your arse and let trump go.

Trump has a fragile ego. His supporters do as well.

Most people, R or D, have zero common sense and just want something to argue about.

TDS, NM; not rocket science.

Read Helmut Schoeck's "Envy" if you want to go deep and understand the psychological dynamics. Trump is essentially a 'Narcissistic' personality, I.e., self-serving. In fact, our Constitution is based on Individual Rights, which is the same thing as 'selfish' as seen by Collectivist (think 'Team Player') folks. The team player genes run deep in the Nordic people, of the which many were immigrants who formed this Nation. Albeit, even so inclined, they fled and feared 'Collectivist'-inspired overreach/Government and limited it's power via Constitutional Principle. Schoeck lived in Nazi Germany and witnessed first hand the potential of Collectivist principle run amok. Good intentions don't cut it.

Trump is the 'lightening rod' for the Collectivist genetic and ideological Movement. It's in their 'gut' and basic psyche. The reactionary fools who buy in would just as soon be ruled by the likes of Biden and Fedderman as to Trump. Many 'Conservatives'/RINOs as well.

And re the truly Conservative folk who think it's about Trump and not about Collectivism proper, well, when supposed fighters like DeSantis arrive in DC only to be neutered into RINO-dom, only then will they realize that the innate and polar/absolute ideological divide cannot be sorted out via talk and votes. Thomas Sowell wrote and excellent essay on "First Principle"; talk (politics) only further divides and enrages the divided people.

The Trump supporters are all in on Trump and only Trump.

Some of them, not all, have picked up on Trump’s insecurities and lash out like wounded animals to anyone that threatens their guy.

It’s the only explanation for the irrational hatred of a great candidate and true conservative like Ron.

Meh.

If I were in Trump's shoes, I'd be all about some Desantis. Hell, it's pretty arguable that Desantis at least used Trump as an underlying framework for his own, more polished fighting. Desantis is by far, the most unique prominent Repub not named Trump in the political landscape today.

Yet, despite all that, Trump sorta seems to want to pick a fight with him. Silliness.

I've been a Trump supporter. A big one. Still am really. But, I've never been one to just ignore shite no matter who I've supported in my life.

It's the simple-minded who don't have the mental capacity to think beyond "your team bad, my team good."

We talk about low-information and party-first voters when discussing the Left, but this is what it looks like when it comes from our own camp. These are the types who are so limited they either don't understand how to look at two quality candidates and support one without tearing down the other, or they simply reject it because that much growth is beyond them.

Given what you know about Donald Trump, how can you not understand this?
