It's grassroots but they have really approached it with a good game plan. They have assigned people in each Parish who are collecting in that parish. They are checking voter registration info using the Geaux Vote app to make sure the precinct numbers and names all match to hopefully prevent a lot of rejected signatures. I think it is a huge hurdle to overcome but I hope they at least make that jackass sweat a little bit and have to answer questions about it.

The recall people need to get that a-hole too while they’re at it.

It's bullshite .....all the people that voted for him would just vote for him again or vote for someone worse.

He certainly didn't endear himself to the Lake Charles area after his "We dodged a bullet" comment in the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Laura.

EDIT: Abbott said Texas "dodged a bullet". JBE said it wasn't the "catastrophic damage" we anticipated.

I signed the recall petition this weekend in my area.

I am sure there are many who voted for JBE that regret it now.

Agree 100%. JBE is proving to be as incompetent as advertised in his 1st term. However, the voting majority re-elected this zero.

Sorry, but wallow in the cesspool you voters chose & maybe rebuild when he’s out of office. You had a choice. You failed. Again.

If you aren't on facebook, or just don't want to go that route, you can also sign up for information at the website:

Recall Edwards

The website lists all the parish reps and you can sign up for info via email. You can also print a signature form to collect signatures at your business or place of employment (if allowed). Someone at my office has a signature sheet and witnessed our signatures. They will be submitting it to the parish rep.

For those that say how "impossible" it is to recall a governor ... seriously, considering everything that has happened this year do you really think anything is "impossible"? Only about 600k signatures are needed to get it on the ballot. For fewer than who have taken Covid tests.

The difference is the people looked at the menu and ordered dog shite just as it was listed on the menu. The meal came out and in fact it was literally dog shite. I don't know why anyone who voted for JBE would sign the recall petition. This is what you voted for.

I’m not trying to be flippant, and I may very well be wrong on recall, but any time a Democrat control anything, I assume my constitutionally protected rights are out the window.

That is the goal of the entire Democratic party. They want total control of everything. Have you been paying attention?

Far better to hang onto that outrage and use it in the next election.

Recalls almost never work:

I am philosophically opposed . I don’t generally think it’s wise to recall a duly elected politician unless there is a crime. He won an election and so he should govern. Even if he sucks.

Change my mind.

There is a process to recall an elected official for this reason. Why not use it when needed?
I understand that pain is the best teacher, and elections have consequences, but this isn't to protect stupid people from themselves, it's to protect productive citizens from stupid people.
