The security of either method is determined by regulating who can cast a vote and who has access to the resulting data. If a voting machine is not connected to a wide network, then "hacking" the machine would require a physical presence on site, just like stealing, inserting, or miscounting paper ballots.

Voting machines typically are not connected to the Internet. Hacking is highly unlikely.

France, after decades of voting fraud issues, went to the old style paper balloting & have had no issues whatever. And have been able to declare a winner by mid evenings.

Not necessarily. When you take the paper ballot and put it into a tabulator like Dominion does then you have computer counting and "normalizing"

All of this is irrelevant until the RNC and GOP decide to go punch for punch on ballot harvesting and curing
If you can stuff a box full of ballots with mismatched names, incorrect or missing signatures, etc., then send an army of people out into the homeless camps and projects to get someone to say "oh yeah that was me.. where's my free pizza"..... then they're not doing anything illegal
The GOP won't do shite though.. They cant run a campaign on their own agenda because they dont do anything. They just make promises to "give us money and vote for us to stop the liberal agenda!"
