Seriously though - how much of this is "felt"?

After Noem-gate yesterday you'd think you would be slow on the trigger here
She got moved to a different job. You losers making more out of it than it is makes no difference to me.
From your link:
quote:
A broader measure of unemployment that includes discouraged workers and those holding part-time positions for economic reasons moved lower, at 7.9% or 0.2 percentage point below the January level.
This is AWESOME news.
quote:
Wages rose more than expected. Average hourly earnings increased 0.4% for the month and 3.8% from a year ago, both 0.1 percentage point above forecast.
More AWESOME news.
quote:
Health care, the primary growth driver in payrolls, saw a loss of 28,000 due largely to a strike at Kaiser Permanente that sidelined more than 30,000 workers in Hawaii and California. Though the strike has since been resolved, it occurred during the BLS survey week so it subtracted from the jobs total.
Translation: 30,000 of the "job losses" weren't actually job losses at all, and shouldn't be included in your panic.
quote:
Federal government employment also fell, off 10,000 for the month. President Donald Trump’s efforts to pare federal payrolls has seen a slide of 330,000 jobs, or 11% of the total workforce, since October 2024, a few months before Trump took office, according to the BLS.
Should I be sad about 10,000 fewer federal government workers?
So, to rehash:
quote:
Nonfarm payrolls in February fell by 92,000, compared to the estimate for 50,000 and below the downwardly revised January total of 126,000. It was the third time in five months that the economy lost jobs.
The expectation was 50,000 jobs lost, and instead we got 92,000. 30,000 of that 92,000 weren't actual job losses and shouldn't have been counted, and 10,000 were federal workers, so...the job market hit the estimates. Let's panic!

Trumps second (third?) act has been a very different beast. The outsider that rightly inspired people to upend the political class has become entirely a creature of DC. Massive disappointment. And you can hear it in his voice. He sounds old

Expectation was 50,000 gained FYI.

Labor participation rate plummeted. The denominator came down significantly hence the lower rate. Not as good as you would otherwise think.

He's not exactly intelligent.
There is no point to explain why he's wrong. He'll just DKE you in response.

It’s almost like people didn't think that fricking over the currency for nearly two decades and a half would never have consequences and now they want to ignorantly put all the blame on only one person because of politics.
No, strike that. It's exactly like that.

Wages are still trending up...
So, there is that.
So, there is that.

Yes but this report showed significant private job losses. Starting to cut into muscle instead of fat.
Those thousands of liberal scandalous entities averaged about 53 employees who did not ever show for work. Their doors are shut due to ICE on the move.

So over 30% of the "losses" aren't even real losses

This sounds like a Bidenflation post

Show us your posts saying this about Biden.
I swear, the degree to which posters here refuse to even consider any criticism of Trump is frustrating. Every bit as bad as the zealots on the left.

So all still in the positive?

I mean, if you've got that big a number from obvious bullshite, how much more bullshite is packed in there to push a particular narrative?
And have we discussed that most of teh industries showing losses are those that would be most affected by deportations?

The only people discussing this are ones who want to engage this topic dishonestly, because that's specifically not what's happening.
