the 7th paragraph

quote:

At the same time, Rosenstein’s message may have been based on a technicality. Trump may not officially be a target, but Mueller hasn’t ruled out making him one at some point in the future, according to a U.S. official with knowledge of the unfolding investigation.
Is this the reporters opinion, (which nowadays is common for their wishful thinking to become a fact) or a sourced opinion?

So it is your hope that the President did something wrong

Hope? His ability to enjoy life is dependent on that being true. So much so, that he posts here under multiple alias accounts in order to just give the appearance that Trump did something wrong.

It's a pathetic existence and most of us can't relate, but we shouldn't give these guys too much credit and expect anything else.

Between hoping for Trump to be found doing something wrong and their utter glee at finding out that someone that Trump had sex with can now tell us all about it...

Cooperating doesn't mean flipping on anyone.

Does it matter?

Cajunangelle, you're not under the target of a federal investigation. That being said, it doesn't mean you can't be one in the future!

It's a stupid statement meant to justify something feel good for Trump haters.

But this is all it was ever going to be. Let's face it, if there was a smoking gun we'd know about it by now. If Trump was personally ordering the GRU to hack Hillary, that probably would've been figured out.

What actually happened was the GRU hacked Clinton and probably some Trump admin too. If anyone was sent to talk to whoever had dirt (Page, George Papa, Cohen) it was done with a couple of layers of separation from Trump.

The Democrats will still likely win the house, they will take their time impeaching so that Trump goes into the election facing an upcoming Senate trial, because unless Trump's approval ratings get so low that he's knocking 5 points off guys like Cruz, there's no way the Senate will find 66 men to convict him.

I've said since the day the 2005 tax return leaked that the most likely outcome by far is that Trump loses a closely fought election to an as yet unheralded Democrat. Not that he gets convicted or forced to resign. I think he'll probably easily see off a challenge at the 2020 RNC although it'll be hyped to death, and then just lose conventionally.

If Beto defeats Ted Cruz he would be a great candidate to run against Trump.

You guys realize they can lie about whether or not you're being investigated, right?

There is nothing to "flip" over. You limp wristed types have said Manafort would flip, then Gates, Flynn, the Greek guy, etc. It's a never ending scenario of Lucy pulling the football.

Two of those guys have flipped though?

George Papa has flipped big time. They span him around and made him work for them.

The narrative was that they would flip on trump and give Mueller and Co. dirt on Trump for an indictment.

That hasn’t happened in any way or form to the public’s knowledge.

I think this is a very fair assessment. I do think there is at least a 20% chance that Trump elects not to run again. He can declare victory (american is great again) and say that washington bores him and that he wants to get back to his business.

But George P clearly wasn't being directed by Trump, so he can't really drop anything on him. Flynn is slow playing it to see what happens and I think if Flynn points the finger at anyone it'll J Kush.

Rick Gates went from 40+ counts with an estimated >20 years of time by DoJ guidelines if convicted now down to a count of false statements and a count of conspiracy. They don't give people that without a helluva proffer.
