I doubt if the CCP Spy Balloon gets outside of the state of Alaska before being brought down, it may have been shot down over the Aleutian Islands if Trump were President.

About 6 hours later a B-2 bomber, with 6 F-35s and 6 F-22s escorting, would have flown directly over the home of Chairman Xi at the same time two nuke subs pop up right off of their coast.

President Trump and Pete Hegseth would have been privy to the same intelligence in 2023 as President Joe Biden. Once detected, they would have almost certainly used the same rationale for waiting to shoot it down, unless you believe they are also dumbasses along with NORAD.
