Money. They get huge sums of donations from Hollywood wackos and tech freaks like bill gates. It was so obvious what to do to lower grocery prices is to lower shipping costs by having cheaper diesel. She wouldn’t dare suggest that though because all the environmentalist freaks would stop donating.

Democrats when I was a kid were great.

Some of them were left over hippies with good intentions but who were mostly good people and very interesting to talk to.

Then you had the mainstream dems who mostly didn’t want to be lectured about morality or grew up in a strict household and rebelled but who still saw the country the same way mostly and frankly I thought were right on a number of issues.

Now? I truly have nothing in common with the progressives. I could go to Germany and likely feel less at odds with their culture than I do in Portland or DC. I don’t understand their motives, don’t agree with any of their policies and damn sure don’t want them lecturing me about whatever nonsense they’re on about that day.

They’re bizarro puritans where whatever should be up is down and if you so much as question their orthodoxy you are a blood enemy.

Bring back moderate democrats, progressives I have no patience left with.
