6 total

1 under 50. Had health issues before contracting the virus.

3 in their 50s. One with history of respiratory issues.

2 in their 80s.

0 that I know personally. 1 worker in my organization who was older and had health issues. That’s out of over 1,000 employees.

Nearly 30 or so. I was working at a LTC facility.

Don’t know anyone aside from that which was enough.

How many people do you Personally know have died of Covid?

Ok you asked so I'll answer honestly.

It's not the "zero" that so many of you said.

First, one of my wife's coworkers (F, whit late 60s, good health) caught it while recovering in the hospital from shoulder surgery. She died with COVID. This was before any real major outbreak had happened in OK.

Next, a few months ago one of my son's former HS coaches, the OL coach (M, mid 40s, Native American, 6'7 360lb, in pretty good health considering his size and weight, guy was mostly muscle) caught it, it turned into pneumonia and he died with COVID.

Lastly, just this week, Thursday night, my ex-wife's father (60s, white, slightly overweight, ate healthy and exercised) died with COVID. He was on the home stretch of beating stage 4 cancer (prostate) and was not far from being in full remission. This one honestly upsets me more than any of them.

So, yeah, I knew three who died with COVID.

That said, I don't know of anyone in any circle of people I know who died exclusively from COVID. That number is zero. Comorbidities is key.

Not sure what your response has to do with me.

I lost a cousin, a close friends grandmother, and a HS classmate to COVID. My Brother in Law is currently battling a bad case of it.

Chromedrome is one of the legends of this board for his data early on in this nonsense.

You’re a fricking worthless insect.

I had no idea how utterly science illiterate your average southern conservative was until covid. It’s depressing and makes me wonder if I should vote for the same people you do since you’re so clearly fricked in the head.

The county says my great aunt did.

But we think is was the systematic organ failure as a result of the stage 4 pancreatic cancer she paced in hospice care for.

It was very early on in the pandemic. Only when my cousins received the death certificate was the 1st time there was any mention of Covid.

So, zero for me too.

Bro, with all due respect, before you get too far ahead of yourself on the subject of your scientific literacy, we must first discuss how you managed to extrapolate from anonymous internet message board musings that the "average southern conservative" is depressingly unenlightened on the relevant aspects of this widespread debate. We're talking quite a few people here. Millions, I reckon.

You should probably check your reading comprehension.

If I said “since covid”, do you think I am referring to that one persons singular post, or posts in aggregate?

Do you think I’m referring to just this board or experiences also outside of tiger droppings?

I agree. I feel like I'm repeating the same concepts over and over again, and none of those concepts are particularly difficult. I'm geniunely curious where some notions are coming from. The latest is the idea that viruses always weaken when they mutate, which is extremely stupid.

I think you can just remove southern conservative. Most people are scientifically illiterate. Agreeing with bumper sticker ideas doesn’t make a person literate.
