I listened to some of it, sounds like a retread of Obama, but with less charisma.
Lots of thanks to the people who helped elect him, lots of praise for the "courage" of those who voted for him, lots of generalized demonizing of people who have wealth without explaining explicitly how that nebulous group is hurting them and absolutely no reminding voters that the hardships they feel have come during the last decade where they've had nothing but Democrat rule and how going even further to the Left is contrary to wanting to improve their fortunes.

I’ve listened to the same thing. My nephew telling my brother why he needed a new truck.
Same speech.
And yet you didn't listen to Mamdani's speech, so you have no idea what he actually said. Mamdani is a MUCH more formidable politician than any other Democrat. He would crush Newsom in a debate.
We underestimate him at our peril.

I think he's the template for successful Democrats around the country.
..in getting elected..
I think you don't understand what the words
successful
Democrat
mean
nor the phrases
around the country
in getting elected.

He will install muslims in all offices he can appoint and there will be absolutely nothing good to come from it other than for the muslims…
New York has fallen…its now New Yorkistan…

Congrats on your conversion to communism, comrade. It’s a natural progression for democrats. The Party welcomes you

So you're on board with him now?
Not at all. I just think people are underestimating his appeal to voters who are unhappy with their economic plight.

Cool story, bro.
JD Vance will make him sound like a retard in comparison.
The free shite army won't care

I did. I stayed up and listened to the entire speech. He's an amazing speaker. I can understand why he appeals to the student debt class. As Peter thiel said too much student debt and unaffordable housing will turn young people against the system.
He doubled down on all of it. He is the Muslim Moses leading the young people out of debt bondage. Free everything paid for by owners of things.

Mamdani hates white dudes like me and everything I stand for.
Why the frick would I want to listen to that snake oil salesman?
How about your give the class the cliff notes?

You don't think his message would resonate in every big American city?

Why do you ask? It sounds as if you're actually agreeing with him, and thus justifying him being a Marxist.

I feel like this is one of those situations like when Trump came on the scene where the media would act like they couldn't understand his support, but when you actually listened to him, what he said was completely different from what the media portrayed. I don't think he is a threat nationally, but another version of him might be. A young Bernie was going to rise up at some point.

I'm not agreeing with him. I'm just pointing out that HIS SPEECH wasn't the hate fest that people on here (who didn't watch it) said it was.
One of his biggest applause lines was in attacking antisemitism.

Thanks. I agree completely with your assessment.

I still don't think you understand what the phrase "around the country" means.
you think there's a significant difference already between Mamcommie and
Johnson in Chicago?
Bass in Los Angeles
XYZ in pick your other "big American city"
there's no difference in political ideology. One will push the Muslim agenda more while the other pushes the race card more.

He is actually saying what tons of other democrats already say. Elect me and I’ll punish the rich, I’ll make things free, I’ll make your housing cheaper, I’ll decrease crime by giving people everything they need, and the government is your friend and benefactor.
Oh yea… and OMB!!!!!!!
Message, as well as the results, is exactly the same. Only thing different is the delivery.

He was snarky, juvenile and low information voter focused.
Dude literally spoke like he is king and can decree a bunch of shite he can't do.
It was actually pretty funny to watch ...

I think you nailed it, Bunk.

His message was “I’m one of you! - you did it!” And he referenced the workers with callused hands.
In reality he was raised wealthy and hasn’t worked a day in his life.
He couldn’t be further from them. The guy is one big lie.
