re: How many of you have liberal family members?

My daughter is very liberal in politics by conservative in the economy. What can I do? She is only 26 and has been poisoned by liberal in school and work workplace. She works for Roit Games and is making over 200 grand a year.

Yeah, same here. I loosely followed that stuff and found it entertaining. A few of them were zealot level.

I have a relative on my side who married/dated liberals all his life. Otherwise seems like an intelligent person but I don’t get it.

My wife’s family has a couple of libs as well. Mainly carrryovers from an ancestor with “a good union job”

There seems to be always one, and it's the case with me as well. And not just 'sorta lefty, not overly political, hates Trump or whatever, but can't explain or give any real examples.' sort, but full on NYC brand, Zohran loving Leftist.

And they don't even attempt any hint of civility. They can't debate, it's "You believe like I do or you're a *Nazi". Screw knowing family members all their lives who have never once displayed any hint of being the things they invent in their heads, or call us. It's full political dogma they spew, never grasping context or even attempt to understand.

THEY are the Nazis. This is what they made everyone who didn't 'trust the science, believe Black Lives Mattered or put a Ukrainian flag in their social media bio feel under Biden's sham administration.

They are who they accuse others of being.

My nephew was a communist until age 30 when he never held a job better than waiting tables. He also couldn't find a wife. Then he landed a job paying over 100K and noticed the income taxes he was paying. Now he's a capitalist. And he immediately found a wife.

17 year old girl, had about a 3 year bout with it. Pretended to be gay because she thought that what was fashionable. Regurgitating more celebrity positions. Ahe 21 now and pretty based. She grew out of the nonsense.

My family is evenly split between liberal and conservative. Even the liberals I know to be loving, Godly people. They were all raised with a strong Christian faith and still attend a Bible believing church regularly.

We have just dont really argue politics. I believe wholeheartedly that they will fall into line as they age and mature.

I’ve noticed a democrats idea of fact checking is much different than republicans. Democrats think fact checking is blind trust in snopes or CNN. A republicans idea of fact checking is getting to the root of things through specified research and drawing your own conclusions.
