Right here. One of my best friends from high school is a VP there now, the president has known me since I was in diapers. Great grandpa helped build it and was on the BOD for years. I can handle anything I need over the phone or via text message and if I ever need money they just need my signature. They make a damn fine pot of coffee too and still hand out bank candy.

Business banking is one thing. I’ve been with Hibernia/Capital One for 20+ years and have never needed “service.” The technology gap may have closed but website/ apps is why I’ve stayed with them for so long. My wife has Hancock/Whitney. They’ve gotten better but their tech was shite compared to Cap One for along time

Everything but the home loan. The difference in interest rates when comparing the two. 2.6 at BoA or 3.9% at the local bank.

Refinance the car loan through local bank. It’s wasn’t a big difference and much more convenient.

I bank local too. I go to my branch, hand them a check or cash without a deposit slip and they do the rest. The money magically appears in my account. No who are you, what is your name, do you have an account here, etc?

That’s a good thing. The less government steals from the economy the better.

I’ve been with UMB over 45 years, it was previously called American National Bank in St Joe Mo before switching to UMB in the 70’s

I don’t need a banker or someone to know my name the one time I go into a branch. I’ve been very pleased with my national bank.

I’m sure most credit unions pay more in property and unemployment taxes than you do. They’re only exempt from income.

We are in different localities. None of the local banks here can beat 3 and Chase will soon be up to 4, that's why I'm buying in increments of only $20K.
