who would have made that decision as biden was never lucid? how old were you in 1979 boy? i was a freshman in college when iran seized our embassy they've had this coming for 47 years. the last 6 presidents have said we can't allow iran to have nuclear weapon. the last 4 presidents have had every arrow in their quiver that trump had with the exception of the F35.
none of them had the guts to to do what trump did. instead they negotiated, obama tried to buy them off, honestly trump didn't either his first term. that's the beauty of being a lame duck he doesn't have to worry about reelction.

One of the best things Obama did was to send in troops to Pakistan to get Osama. I didn't like a lot of what Obama and that crew did but I will always give them credit for that. Not a lot of people would go into an "allies" country like that without notifying them but they knew Pakistan are not really our "allies". Also I wasn't against a lot of the drone strikes he did like a lot of people are.

Wars are inevitable and unavoidable, but they don't always have to be fought immediately.
A US President, sooner or later, was going to have to deal with Iran's Nukes, and Iran's involvement in terrorism, and Iran's multiple attacks on US Military and our citizens.
Biden would have run it like he ran the Afghanistan withdrawal. Obama would have run it like he ran the Arab Spring and all the crap that burned up the Middle East afterwards.
I wouldn't support a war with either of those presidents, because they aren't leaders, or W or Clinton either.
Trump quickly dispatched ISIS in his first term, after Obama d!cked around with it for years. Trump is fighting a war with overwhelming force. We didn't do that in Vietnam, Korea, Iraq 2, or Afghanistan, but we did in Gulf War 1, back when we still had an infantry army with an infantry general.
Not even Reagan did that in Lebanon, though he did shell the Shiites with, I think, the New Jersey.

I would tell them Trump wouldn’t have even run for president in 2016 if the previous presidents since the 80s had done their jobs, both in foreign and domestic policies.

If it happened under Biden, I still would be OK with it. Anyone who has followed the Iran situation since Carter would be ok with it unless you have TDS.
