I think people realized that less shitty people is better overall. So it’s kinda a self fulfilling prophecy of sorts.

Genuinely the most amazing thing. How do they continue to support a party that literally encourages them to murder each other.

Most people who want an abortion simply don’t want to live with the consequence of their actions. Period.

A very small amount are due to rape & health issues.

Republicans: why won’t blacks vote GOP?

Also Republicans:

Each side will frame the argument in a way to suit their position

Support: "GOP wants to force women to carry rape babies and continue pregnancies that threaten the life of the mother!"

Oppose: "People who get abortions are just trying to avoid the consequences of their bad decisions!"

In reality there is no correct position, as there will always be legitimate reasons to terminate a pregnancy, while also moral reasons to keep the procedure from being used as birth control .. However, trying to codify and legislate those reasons will result in total political nonsense.

Some people love to tell others what they can and cannot do. Like getting shots or owning firearms

As long as being pro life mens we refuse abortions for ectopic pregnancies I’ll be pro choice.

Being pro life can literally kill you nowadays.

Have you met progressives? They want to kill unborn children and take the village approach to raising yours.

A lot of medical procedures are considered abortions and when a baby is severely developmentally impaired in the womb due to certain fatal conditions a fetus can develop, removing the fetus is considered an abortion. A woman is then faced with the unbearable decision to:

1. remove the fetus, effectively killing it before it dies on its own

Or

2. Let it die on its own and carry the dead baby around until full term, delivering a dead fetus

Both options are unfathomable but many women choose to rip off the bandaid and opt for option 1. Problem is, that’s now considered an abortion and illegal to do in Louisiana. I’m a Catholic and a conservative but the government telling the woman she HAS to carry a dead baby until delivering it naturally is immoral and wrong.

That’s how the abortion issue flipped so much. There’s very little give to it now when there needs to be simply more choice but not necessarily complete choice to kill a healthy baby.

We’re a country of awful and vapid human beings

On this issue, women don’t want human life to stand in the way of that entry level marketing career in the city that will totally fulfill them

You can make genocide look cool.

Abortion has been made to look cool? To who? I know several women who either had and abortion or considered it. From what I have heard them say about it there is nothing cool about it...very hard decision to make and even harder to live with if it is made. I am sure there are some abortions performed every year where the woman is completely nonchalant about it but I would bet those are the exception and not the rule...I would bet most women beat themselves up pretty badly about making that decision. At the end of the day it is an individuals choice and the state should be discouraged, as much as possible, from interfering with individual choice. Very few people like the thought of abortion but forcing the issue is less popular....

People are so desensitized they think that abortion is not taking a life and actually celebrate it

Which is just about the stupidest argument they could make. And it’s not what they actually mean.

This is what the supporters actually mean.
