How can anyone believe antifa is actually against fascism?

Question is the title. I'm a bit stunned here.
There is a thread on here about Cuban Americans protesting and they are saying frick antifa among others.
It is a Twitter link and scanning the responses, is what I could only describe is a safe space for idiots.
One response said they are saying frick antifa, they are pro fascism? I'm assuming this person is actually this stupid, but do many people actually believe antifa is actually anti fascism?
When all they use is fascist tactics?

Antifa was started by the Bolsheviks in the 1930s in direct response to the Nazi movement. They are in fact against fascists. They are also a bunch of fricking communists.

You're asking the wrong question. People don't support Antifa because they want to fight fascism. They support it because they either want to destroy the system, the Orange Man is Bad, or because they are easily swayed by social trends. Stop assuming these people are fighting in good faith and a rational argument will persuade them. They only understand one thing: Force.
