what kind of baggage does a person with 2 kids have to be forced to work at a BK and fail to get promoted from the very bottom?

Why is someone having 2 kids if they can't afford them?

Not only is Burger King taking money from taxpayers, but now that it’s Canadian, it’s not even going to pay back into the system. It’s like the shareholders have taken a giant vacuum cleaner and are just sucking hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars and depositing them straight into the bank accounts of a few billionaires. Doesn’t really seem fair.

You work for 9 bucks an hour with a couple of kids, you are retarded, proven by this idiocy.

I know right.

Literally, all you need to do for promotion is show up on time, follow directions, and not be an a-hole.

You don't need to be smart, ambitious, or even educated... just fricking show up with a smile on your face.

That is way beyond the capabilities of many people. It is sad, really.

He wants $15 to flip burgers and have no responsibilities? His manager probably doesn't make that much and has a harder, more stressful job.

For the past year, I’ve worked at a Burger King in Tampa, Florida, making $9 an hour. Taxes are taken right out of my paycheck like they are for most people in America.
So in summary, this imbecile is pissed he's having to pay taxes . . . AND HE BLAMES BURGER KING FOR IT!

Brilliant!

Is there some belief out there that the revenues generated inside of the us will not be subject to us taxes?

Put me in that job, not only would I get promoted, I would make more than $15 hourly guaranteed.

I started my own business at 16 yo and now am partner in a thriving medical group. I had no advantage except that I hated poverty and will outwork anyone.

I suggest the author look at self.

The strategy is called an Inversion. Overview below.

quote:

Tax inversion, or corporate inversion, is a largely American term for the relocation of a corporation's headquarters to a lower-tax nation, or corporate haven, usually while retaining its material operations in its higher-tax country of origin.[1][2] The term is most frequently used in relation to US corporations.[citation needed] Corporate inversions are a relatively recent phenomenon. Although it is difficult to be definitive, the practice first became prevalent in the 1990s, with US corporations seeking to relocate to tax havens such as Bermuda;[3] more recently, because of changes in US law, publicity has focused upon corporate inversions conducted by way of merger with companies in lower-tax foreign countries. The issue was first subjected to a great deal of publicity in April 2014 by the proposed merger between Pfizer and AstraZeneca.[4][5] While large multinational public companies have received most of the recent press coverage on corporate inversions, middle-market companies and private

So the person dropping fries needs stock options, company car and an expense account? Seems only fair.

Why does a burger king worker deserve to be paid more than what their productivity entitles them to?

I didn't take it as a bitch about having to pay taxes, I read that as a statement of "I pay taxes just like you do" kinda thing.

I'd like to point out that if one has two children and makes less than $15 per hour they almost certainly have a federal income tax liability of zero. Good chance they are net gainers in the Fed tax system.

What is really funny about the liberal melt down over burger king is that no one has EVER confused Canada with some right wing bastion. When your tax policies suck so hard that companies are running to Canada, you'd think a bit of introspection would be in order.
