How are you going to change your purchases due to the tariffs?

For me, a couple things.

1. Going to try to buy less made in Canada, Lidl and Aldi are cheap, but until Canada elects someone not trying to screw us I think I'll avoid Canadian products.

2. Going to buy more at the local farmers markets

3. More closely watch Amazon buys.

4. Some of the European things I was buying going to hold up on that... German Flannel is really nice though.

Will see how it goes, but I looked at a lot of what I buy and I'm not that exposed to Chinese goods (bought a cabinet from China and it was a disaster, fell apart during install and they fought me for a week before they processed the return). I've been quite try to buy USA as much as possible, I think this will push me more towards that.

I'll probably need to buy less often but more expensive and take care of things longer.

I will buy less big ticket items. Not paying for overvalued goods I don't need. I will hold cash reserves until things normalize or i will spend my money repairing instead of buying items that are overpriced.

I can't avoid buying toiletries and groceries, but any luxury purchases are on hold for the foreseeable future.

We all feel your pain, I'm hoping she's going to be noticing the change and deciding... nah why did I want that in the first place.

I have most everything I need or want. I am not a large consumer. Same for my wife.

Beans, rice, canned foods, mylar bags, O2 absorbers and freedom seeds.

My habitual spending won't change a bit.

I won't know until I'm confronted with a purchase that has allegedly become more expensive due to tariffs....so far has not happened.

Dress up like an American Indian and dump Chinese goods in the harbor.

Buy American- no tariffs. If we don’t have it do without. Get meds from Ireland.

Call everyone that disagrees with me a cuck.

The only thing that concerns me is that I am planning to buy my daughter a car for a Christmas / graduation present. I don’t think I want to rush out and panic buy something now do hopefully things calm down by year end.

The yacht is on hold for the time being.

We really don’t make enough of them in this country.

Thankfully don't have any big purchases planned soon.

I've been meaning to try the farmer's market here anyway so that gives me a reason to go this Saturday and see what they have to offer. Other than the occasional avocado or can of San Marzano tomatoes most of the food I buy is from the U.S. Occasionally I'll shop at an Asian market but don't have a need to go anytime soon.
