I can answer it. It’s not 10k pages and I never said it was.

Soooo…

Why did you ask me if it was 10k pages?

What was the gotcha attempt?

It’s like the scam calls. I’m always curious about how the scam works.

How much lower is this budget than Biden’s?

Lower is great but how much lower?

So if its some you would take it. And that's the correct thing to do.

We all want a balanced budget! But I will take the win.

I don’t have any choice about whether to take it or not.

I can agree with Massie and some of the others about continued adding to the national debt.

I understand that some here don’t like that one bit and that’s fine.

Still waiting for the Massie alternative.
Why do we need an alternative if Trumps bill is so awesome?

An attempt to not have to address the bill’s spending?

Right after he claimed he could cut the DoD budget in half.

One of the hold outs stated:

Harris said that hard-liners stopped negotiating just before midnight Wednesday, saying there was a deal but it was “pulled off the table.” He suggested that the deal would make further cuts to Medicaid.

Also, 1.4 million illegals will be cut off from Medicaid.

So some cuts are there. And remember, Trump's plan saw a reduction in enrollment in his first term pre-pandemic.

This bill is a flying fricking turd that will increase increase spending, decrease tax revenue, balloon the deficit, benefit blue states with high taxes and correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t incorporate the majority of the doge cuts. This isn’t what I voted for but par for the course.

Trump did the same thing the first time around - complained that he didn’t agree with the big omnibus bill but passed it and spent the money nonetheless.

This administration was never going to spend less. Ever. Maybe less than Kamala, but never less than the year before.

To earn the votes of a handful of Republicans in New York, New Jersey and California, Johnson offered to raise the Salt deduction cap to $40,000 with certain income limits.

Dumb question as I don’t know tax law, but this would be nationwide and not just for those three states, correct?

In texas, we get railroaded in property tax, would be great to deduct above the 10k limit.

The problem with that is timing. Mid Terms are around the corner. Otherwise yes it would be nice to do that.

We are about as early in a term as you can get away from mid terms, there's always going to be fricking mid terms around the corner. Somebody has to stand up and lead and hope that wins them some votes. In theory some of these guys would even be willing to lose their seats for the good of their country if that's what it took

Of course they aren't and we continue to be fricking doomed

I have no issues with this bill. We are still operating under Obama era CRs. This actually puts a budget in place and removes the annual budget CR extension fights.

Yeah. Fake conservative.
he's not a fake conservative. he's an ineffective legislature that has accomplished nothing of substance though.
