Is the first thing you do when you come to this site is to check my last post?

For someone you don't like, you sure follow the hell out of them.

Does this mean I can hire the same mobile bar for a “fundraiser” at my house?

Yes

Private events are allowed for everyone as long as it is under 50 people. If it has outdoor element as well It can be unlimited people

@LouisianaGov: “according to White House task force member Dr. Deborah Birx, they believe backyard parties are fueling a lot of the cases across the country and certainly here in Louisiana.”

@LouisianaGov: “I know that life has not been what you want it to be, you are eager to see your friends and celebrate the new semester: however I am asking you to be very careful; if you think it will be a large gathering without mask, think twice, then think a third time.”

@LouisianaGov higher education officials will be meeting soon to go over plans for college students heading back to dorms and college apartments....to make sure they understand the role they played in the surge.”

This is absolutely disgusting and pathetic. It makes me sick to my stomach to think of all the businesses, bars, livelihoods, and hard work ruined/destroyed by the picking and choosing by one person. I can’t imagine what kind of sick person would vote Democrat.

I have nothing nice to say about Edwards, but ignorant posts like this are the basis for all that is wrong with politics.

First of all, where did you get that screenshot? I can’t find that username on any social media account, and as someone else pointed out, this company is not new. This seems completely doctored. Provide your source.

Second of all, to say that a bar open to the public and a private bartender at a private event are the same thing may be the stupidest thing you’ve said on this board, and that says a lot. Private parties are allowed. Hiring someone to pour the drinks at the event is the same as hiring a caterer. And comparing that to an open public bar is just beyond stupid.

The company that posted this promptly deleted their Facebook account soon after it made its rounds and nearly everyone dunking on them.

Well I suppose you haven't been paying attention to anything at all so let me get the crayons and break this down Barney Style. Here, I'll quote the post LSUJML posted just before yours. You know, the one you obviously failed to comprehend:

Just one of many tweets from Prince John scolding all of us for having any kind of gathering yet he can have a gathering large enough to justify hiring a bartender.

Do you get it now? Do you understand the bold faced hypocrisy on display here?

Actually, I didn’t miss anything, and I agree with your post. I started my post by saying I had nothing nice to say about Edwards, and I don’t dispute anything you’re quoting. My only comment was in reference to the fact that the OP implied that if you close public bars, you shouldn’t be able to hire bartenders for a private party. I stand by what I said. That comment is completely ignorant, and comments like that are what have made today’s political discussions so ridiculous.

The later comments in the thread, that you quoted, are mature, well thought out statements that bring up valid points. If the OP had been as thoughtful or intelligent, this would have been a worthwhile discussion.

On Tuesday he chastised people for having private parties and spreading the virus. He said it was the largest contributor to spread.

Then does this.

King John told the taverns
“I decree that you’ll close”
Then invited his cronies,
To a party he throws.

The peasants are forced,
To drink inside their homes,
While the lights of his mansion,
Reflect off of his dome,

He’ll tell common folk,
“Don’t dare have people over!”
Then he’ll open his bar,
For political donors,

And don’t you dare speak up,
Or question a thing,
‘Cause we’re nothing but peasants,
And he thinks he’s a King.

Should we expect a front page article by Stephanie Grace or Melinda Delatte in this Sunday's Advocate?

An Ode to To King Honor Code

Each time John Bel Edwards,
Turns his shiny head towards,
The cameras to make a new decree,

His forehead like a mirror,
It couldn’t be much clearer,
The disdain that he holds for you and me,

An anus-eyed Napoleon,
With cheeks all red and swollen,
Looks like Daddy Boucher from Waterboy,

And every time he grins,
You want to punch his smile in,
For the livelihoods that he’ll gladly destroy,

As he parties in his mansion,
But for us he’ll forbid dancin’
Blaming restaurants and students for the spread,

If you disagree, keep quiet,
While his backers scream and riot,
If you disobey it’s your fault grandma’s dead,

If don’t comply and satisfy his whims,
He’ll shut you down,
Cause rules for us,
Are not for him.

Yeah he can kiss my heinie,
King John and his head so shiny.

If grace writes anything on this it'll be praising the governor supporting small business during this trying time

That’s a good breakdown, but I’m not that simpleton could understand even with it written in crayon. This turtle looking despot spends his entire press conference scolding people for doing exactly what he’s doing. F that slimy hypocrite. And as for the candidate, they must need another GumboPac plant on the bench now that their favorite crook Janice Clark is being forced to retire.
