It isn't all related to Hollywood being Woke, but it is the foundational problem.

Not shocking
many don't realize how movies are funded to be made. They have investors who front money to studios to make movies, When they keep producing shite, many stop investing, no investment, a movie is not made.

That model of finance and production is going to die a slow death the same way that all of NYC's production houses died. 40 years ago, the saying was "if you build it they will come" about video not baseball. 10 years later they all started withering on the vine. The 11 floors of production where I worked are now fully eclipsed by a decent home computer and Adobe Creative. In the digital world, with those kinds of tools and evolving AI, making movies for streaming distribution will knock the foundations out from under what's left of the old Hollywood finance, production and distribution system.
If I was younger, I'd be excited to dive in!

Couldn't hurt any to have well written dialog and a interesting story to tell. They can cut out a lot of the explosions and chases and replace with acting and storyline.
This 100%.

Hopefully the attorneys defending the studio are an interracial couple.

I approach her life from a tragic perspective. She made bad choices over and over again. But God gifted her with the beauty and sex appeal of a goddess ... and she had been my obsession since puberty.
Scottie Bowers claims, with much credibility, that he had a threesome with Gardner and Lana Turner. Even though he sucked a lot of dicks, I got to give him his due for pulling off this feat.

First thought without any research, why are there loans against a 100 year old movie studio that has probably increased 1000x in value?

This is one of the greatest movies of the last three decades, and was made with a budget of under a million dollars.
Usual Suspects was filmed with a 6 million dollar budget and they blew up a ship at the end.

This article misses the mark entirely. Properties like Radford Studios, or Second Line Stages in New Orleans which is also owned by Hackman, are struggling because they don’t create content. They depend on filmmakers leasing them.
The contracts negotiated after the IATSE and WGA strikes made the cost to produce in the US prohibitive. Stages like this are suffering everywhere.
Every soundstage in Louisiana is dark right now. Georgia is mostly empty as are New Jersey and New Mexico. Meanwhile Canada, Europe, and Australia are booming. This is another industry killed by greedy labor unions.

Nah, that Scotty Bowers guy was a ludicrous fabulist, whose wild tales don't pass muster. Gas-station hustler. He even makes Kenneth Anger's documented falsehoods and exaggerations seem comparatively sound and stable.
There's enough real scandal, dirty-work and infamy in old Hollywood without Bowers and Anger and their wacky homo science-fiction.

That is true.
Plus Ai is about to sound the death knell for Hollywood. It's coming soon ... no need for sets and designers and wardrobes or movie stars.
