They should have saved up from
All those exorbitant tuitions of years past.

Institutions traditionally live by the infamous words of Robert Earl Keen:

If you constructed a bar graph that showed:

Yearly increases in cost of medical care since Medicare/Medicaid

And

Yearly increases on cost of college tuition since the federal government started guaranteeing student loans

The trajectories would look remarkably similar.

Yes sir.

I don't want my tax dollars funding a for profit business, especially one that is contributing to the destruction of our Republic.

Theyre just going to flood us with foreign students to cover the admission gap.

Kids from China and India are paying cash, no student loan caps to consider. Universities are shifting to global models.

The birth rate dropped in 2008. So the number of students available to go to college is smaller. And a smaller percentage of the smaller number are going to college. Pretty easy math.

I have a friend that is president of a small Midwest private(under 2000). He's been dreading this for a decade. It's not that the birth rate dropped, it's that the birth rate dropped for whites.

If you notice, the preK-12 population hasn't decreased over that time.

The replacements aren't going to college.

My first semester was $988 with 7 day board.

Books were another ~$150.

Tuition was $4 per credit hour.

Those were the days....

You mean borrowing $100k for a degree in liberal arts with no plan or means to pay it back is unsustainable?

Completely agree but how would they field a good football team?

In a thread about the bubble bursting, you should know the limitations for doing what you propose. Theyre using international students to make up for waning US interest.

NYU has global campuses, and still has 1/4 of their NYC students as international.

Anyone else think this might be the catalyst behind Trump being okay with allowing 600k Chy-na students to enroll is U.S. universities and colleges?

Like maybe they'll go broke without them?

Lmao…I remember a day when yall were bitching and whining like girls about all of the Chinese, and other foreigners, who were taking up the spots of real Americans. It was a platform that a lot of people believed in, myself included, only to find out that Trump, like most things, is full of excrement.

Foreigners taking things from real Americans we sort of the essence of Trump’s platform, wouldn’t you say?

Now you have Trump saying that 500k Chinese students are not only allowed, but are NECESSARY. So it’s pathetic that yall are spinning this instead of taking it like the good little cucks you are.
