Late 90's Lafayette, a couple Klan members hosted a prime-time call in show called "The Klan in Acadiana" on Acadiana Open Channel.

It caused a big stink because they appeared on tv in their masks, and that was the technicality they used to shut the show down.

I went to a funeral back in the 90’s and the guy had a cake from KKK thanking him for his service sitting on the table.

I watched an LSU-Tulane game at a friend’s house in Kenner, where David Duke and I were the only LSU fans, so I guess my answer is yes.

I met two in Walton County, GA in the early 1990s. I went to LSU with David Duke and had a few shouting convo's with him in 1971 and 1972. One of my closest pals in high school had his grandfather's KKK robes. His grandad lived in Walker, LA.

Most KKK'ers don't announce they are Klansmen. It is supposed to be a secret organization.

I am 63, never met a KKK member, and I think that organization today is almost non-existant. I think it is funny how the media and some liberal Democratic politicians, like the governor of Michigan (Bruce Jenner/Caitlyn to some lookalike) calls out white supremacists for protests against the lockdown, but remain silent against BLM uprisings and anarchy in general. Yet, a true 'white supremacist' in any of these protests has never been identified and I believe they don't exist!! All b.s. by the Dems/media to stroke their agenda. And I will say this too- I would not be surprised if the Left paid a few people to hold up Confederate flags just to create an image- remember, those people are dirty, will stoop to anything for power!

I was approached by a member and offered a membership which I politely declined. When he offered it to me, I was thinking...you don't know me. I'm not white. I'm as mixed breed as they come. And I'm Catholic. Nah, I don't need that. Kept the business card as a reminder though.

I am 36 years old. Never in my life have I had a conversation with a person who claimed to be a part of or have ever been a part of the KKK. I have met true, ardent racists who were completely open about their contempt for other races. Yet none of them every said they were a part of or even supported the KKK.

What’s opening racist?

I’ve know a ton of people who will drop the n-word to describe black people in a very old timely way.

That’s not a super rare thing at all.

Do they go on marches about this? No.

I grew up in Mississippi in the 60s. I am sure I met plenty but they didn't go around with hoods on. I was too young to have been recruited so can't say I knowingly spoke to any of them, but I'm pretty sure some of the people I knew were members. Used to see hand written signs pointing to where meetings were being held.

I met Sen. Robert Byrd when I worked at the Capitol, decades ago. Old boy made is legislative assistants walk his dogs for him, while in the Capitol!
Funny, there’s no demand from the radicals to destroy his name. I wonder why?

I think there are more Neo Nazis in this county than there are Klansmen. And that’s not very many. Most are Aryan Brotherhood types in prisons.

I know 2 people who had a family member (one was his father and one was his grandfather) who were once in the KKK years ago. But I never met either so I’ve never personally known anyone who was one, but I have known 2 people who had a family member who was one.

I’ve driven past a rally, so they exist.

But no, despite living in the south and attending a Deep South school I’ve never met anyone who was in the KKK or any white supremacy group.

I think members rarely come from normal middle class whites. They’re either a group of criminal white trash or a few well connected wealthy people in rural small towns who keep it very very secret. The latter was more common decades ago, today it’s more of the former.

Me too. 54 years and I’ve never met or seen someone who stated they were a white supremacist or KKK.

I grew up in Metairie and went to school in Baton Rouge and I now live in Lafayette.

In the 1970s there was a bookstore near the intersection of Airline Hwy/Metairie Rd/Severn that was rumored to be the office/front for David Duke and his members. He lived in the neighborhood across Severn from the store. We'd occasionally see him at the gas station when we were picking up beer.

I was on a first name basis with Robert (Bobby) Shelton (google him) 50 years ago in Tuscaloosa.
I wasn't in the Klan, nor ever aspired to be, but back then Tuscaloosa wasn't a big town and he was pretty well known.

I've met several FBI agents and ATF so probably have met KKK members.

I think technically it's a secret organization so not many go around bragging about it.

I grew up in LA, saw a cross-burning one night as we drove along I-10 in SE Texas near Orange, probably late '60s or early 70's.
