I walked by people saying things on lsu’s campus many times.

I would walk by free speech alley just to hear the crazies be crazy. But that was more like a trip to the zoo vs. attending a protest.

Yeah...and you're sort of already there in that case

I used to love watching the crazies at free speech alley

Yes, sort of. I went to Trumps inauguration in January. Two days before there was a huge women's March. I made it a point to get up close and observe this protest with my GoPro. I hated everything about these people, but the experience was exhilarating.

I found them while they were "rehearsing" their chants in Freedom Square. Just before they marched. Wife stayed on the perimeter but I wanted to get closer and read the signs and hear whoever was in the middle yelling.

Within five minutes I was surrounded and trapped. They were closing in behind be so I didn't notice. And I underestimated how many people there were. I was stuck and separated from my wife for about 45 min till they lined up and finally started marching.

Wife said she felt like she was getting the stink eye and they somehow knew she was not on their side. Turns out she was wearing lots of red and blue. These protesters wore almost zero red, white, or blue. I suppose the pink pussy hats we purchased didn't provide us much cover.

No

I don't attend political rallies either

Both events are for losers IMO

In that case they sound right up your alley.

There isn’t anything that could rile me up enough to get me to a political protest.

1968 I marched with David Duke from LSU campus to the state capital building. It was a great event. Topic of protest was to establish co-ed dorms on the LSU campus.

The 60's was a much happier time to be at LSU

The last one I was in was an accident. I was in DC for work. There was a Tea Party protest going on. Figured I'd tag along just to see what's up and talk to people. I was pretty far from a tea partier, but wanted to see it for myself.

Previous to that, I was at several Anti-Iraq war protests in college. I'd be there again if it happened today. It was bullshite.

These days, I probably align more with the Forward Party, which I guess is more classically liberal.

I went to the OG Tea Party tax protests in 2009 on Tax Day.

I did too out of curiosity on what the Tea Party — an amorphous term that had different connotations depending on who was wearing the mantle — had to offer.

The “Tea Party” had caught my attention because it initially appeared to channel Ron Paul and oppose the out-of-control spending in both parties, showing equal discontent towards both Republicans and Democrats.

Yet after attending that event in 2009, my impression was the Tea Party was essentially a political rally for standard-issue GOP politicians to latch on to anti-Obama sentiment rather than actually promote the principles of limited government.

I once heckled a state House candidate at the State Fair Rodeo in Shreveport. That's all I've got.

No.

I tend to find that people who protest politically do it almost always are doing t more to virtue signal to other like minded thinkers than anything else.

99% certain this is true. Hope Musk identifies em and gets em off the government payroll soon.

BTW, I have those bigfoot pics you asked about, where shall I send em?
