I have 2 different styles of plate carriers and you wouldn't know from pictures if I have no plates, front plate, rear plate, both front and rear, and on one of them side plates.

Also, they are most certainly not all made from kevlar

"He’s dressed in tactical pants, sunglasses, and jacket, he’s strapped and he’s wearing some level of “body armor”. He’s in the middle of the street and he’s amped up. As the kids say, he’s on a different time than everyone else around him"

he went looking for what he ended up finding. All the excuse makers for him are missing that.

again, this makes this situation far different from the Goode one, in my opinion.

But it does matter. Some of us want to understand how these things play into the decisions that were made. You can say he should have stayed on the side walk and he’d be alive, but he didn’t and now he’s dead.

and that is all that matters. Obviously his attire raised the level of concern for agents but that would not have mattered if he had not broken the law.

Sooooo his body armor was ineffective is what you’re saying?

No, it was effective, at keeping the fragments ricocheting within his body cavity like a BB inside a tin can.

So now, in addition to phantom body armor, you have the results and internal projectile trajectories from the phantom body fully mapped.

Why don't we go farther and say the guy had an explosives belt under his coat? Maybe he was carrying a Russian radio communicator and GPS to call in an airstrike? Laser glasses?

None of this fantasy BS is true. A group of masked federal agents came up to him, beat him, and then shot him to death. That is what you see clearly in the video from every angle. The guy never pulled a gun, never threw a punch, and was not armored up for battle. He had a phone in his hand. He put his other hand up and got pepper sprayed. There was no request for him to do anything.

There is some sort of imperative that is being followed that right wingers are to go on the internet and promote false facts. We have all seen the video. The false facts are not impressive.

was he on his way to pick up his kids from school also?

you do your comrade Pretti a disservice by treating him like the wimp you obviously are.

Pretti was out in the streets fighting for what you claim to believe in. Trump's jack booted thugs are disappearing children. Pretti went and tried to do something about it. He died a hero not a wimp like you see him, and you are..

He jumped in a fight that was not his.
Thur sprayed him.
He resisted detainment.
They took his gun.
He reached for his gun.
They shot him to end the threat he made himself.

It’s literally in the OP. Body armor in the title is simply a catch all term used for clarity

I think these are out of order left to right; it looks like the right picture is the first one. Even the other agitator is reaching for him because she knows what's about to happen.

How do you think a bullet works?

It fragments, flattens, spins when hitting muscle, bone, and tendon causing massive tissue and organ damage. 99% of the time it doesn’t go in one side and out the other cleanly like in the movies. That ain’t what they’re designed to do.

Where are you getting your info? Yes, he worked at a VA hospital, but where are you seeing he served? Or saw combat, of any nature?

***Alex Pretti was a VA ICU nurse, widely respected for his care of veterans, but there is no indication he was a combat veteran or a veteran at all.***

Are \you embellishing this man's record to make yourself feel better, or did you legitimately hear it reported from the likes of msnbc, cnn or some such?

I was just about to ask this but everything is such a jumbled mess of info and vids. I am going to wait for everything to come out. I been burned too many times by the media.

He probably instinctively reached back for the gun when it was removed by the other officer. I know if I felt my holster get lighter, I would check.

Combine that with the likely miss fire of that crappy p320, it was a recipe for getting shot.

It is all on Pretti. He brought this on himself. FAFO RIP

It seems that some are under the idea that only veterans can work at a VA hospital.

And obviously, if he is a veteran, he must’ve seen combat, possibly in the Middle East… These fairytales just write themselves.

Body armor is not illegal.

BTW, the dead guy would be alive if he wasn't a moron and thought it would be cool to rise up against federal LE agents. I'm sure he though it would go a different way in his head.

Turns out revolutions are a messy business.
