the medical industry was "different" - was virtuous and uncorrupted in ways (or degrees) other industries were not. He no longer sees his industry that way.
I see attitudes like your brother's more as an outside issue. The problem is, medicine is complicated. The lay public (unlike your brother) does not generally have the background and/or ability to fully understand healthcare recommendations. So they are left to either trust their doc, or not. They have seen enough crap from the likes of Fauci, Birx, or Catherine O'Neal to warrant severe skepticism.
Inside, docs remain focused on quality of care and patients' best interest. That has not changed an iota. We see it in each other. JFWIW.
But patient trust in quality medical advice has been undercut.

For the most part. However, pharmacists on the other hand are the most corrupt pieces of crap.

Covid exposed the CDC and the state department of health as just another bloated government bureaucracy no different than the DMV or the IRS.

You referring to the Covid shots?

I didn’t get flu vaccine this year for that reason

Thank you, there has never been a vaccine for a coronavirus in humans and to think that one was created out of nothing in 6 months is insane.
For reference, the polio vaccine took 30+ years to develop.

I’m proudly unjabbed, However, before I never thought much about vaccines except some grade school friends had scars on their arms. We just always assumed they were safe and necessary because, after all, the government, news and medical community told us so. And most of those we got as kids were (presumably) safe.
But something in the very beginning of the plandemic made my spidey senses perk up. I couldn’t put my finger on it. Something wasn’t right about this dystopian nightmare I saw evolving before my eyes. I remember the first time I went to Walmart and everybody was masked and being herded through one door a few people at a time. I felt like I was in an apocalypse or zombie movie set. Of course we know now that I and millions of others were right in our mistrust of what we were told.
All that to say, I will never again trust government medical agencies or most of the medical community on vaccines or anything “new” or “mandatory” without extreme vetting and years of proof. I’m not anti-medicine. I’m anti-medical tyranny and being lied to.

I skipped the flu shot this year because I was concerned that I might be given the Covid booster by mistake. I have avoided the covid vaccine so far and did not want to take any chances

I wish I could remove the cht they gave us in boot camp 42 years ago. I'll never get another for anything.

So no significant portion of doctors or hospitals consider their economic outcomes in advising, treating or medicating?

Only if you’re an utter moron who has trouble recognizing truth and dives headfirst into bullshite. Since science and public health experts tend to skew left, right wing media and influencers have bamboozled you idiots for political gain. It’s a bad long term strategy. Conservatives died at much higher rates after the vaccine was introduced. And as childhood diseases creep back into America, it’s innocent children of conservative retards that’ll be disproportionately affected.

At this point, I wouldn't trust anyone to inject ANY vaccine into my body. How does one KNOW that they're not saying it's a flu shot when they load you up with a COVID19 MRNA injection?
I trust myself and my immediate family (and a very few others who are very close friends). I trust absolutely NO ONE else when it comes to vaccines. No family or very close friends are GP physicians so... No vaccines for this redneck.

Mother of God. Unbelievable

I can't trust anyone of the pharmaceutical companies at all when it comes to vaccines. They singlehandedly threw established protocols out the window and needlessly endangered peoples lives all in the name of money.
