That's because everyone is drawing from the same well. It's just a regurgitation of X content followed by some original discourse and a lot of in-fighting sprinkled in.

That's why it's called, "ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE". It's not really very intelligent.

I disagree with the Tiger Rant description.

It's mixing the Political Talk board in there. Tiger rant is solidly LSU sports, this place is some politics and some wingnuts regurgitating Twitter and clickme political podcasts.

Strengths: Good for raw, unvarnished Southern conservative perspectives; quick breaking news aggregation from posters; strong regional flavor (Louisiana/SEC politics bleed into national discussions). If you're aligned with that worldview or just want to lurk for entertainment/drama, it can be engaging

Hell Yeah!

Weaknesses: Echo chamber tendencies, heavy moderation inconsistencies (some say it's lax on right-leaning content but quick to ban critics), and a reputation that turns off outsiders. It's not a neutral or balanced source—more of a community venting space than objective analysis.

Utter bullshite.

Anyone can post as long as you don't break the rules...it's not rocket surgery.

There are several in this thread already going on the defensive, not realizing that they are actually proving the AI description to be spot on. And it will continue.

Yeah that about sums it up. Old man politics and schoolyard level shenanigans.

The reading comprehension showcased in this thread leaves a lot to be desired.

This place looked like X before X became X.

During the censorship reign of terror TD was an outpost of lightly censored content. Twitter at the time wouldn't have allowed half of what got posted here.

Since X has relaxed it's heavy hand it's content became more like TD's, not the other way around.

Agreed, that was the only real issue I found wrong in the assessment. There's no telling where it pulled that from though and there's no real way for it to verify if it's even true (thus relying only unproven statements and feelings) without the admins posting data showing whether or not it is.

Sure but X isn't pulling its content from here. The flow goes the other way around. The poster I responded to noted that we have a lot of similar threads. Those have increased in incidence as X has become more relaxed. That's my point.

In fairness, AI stated:
quote:

some say it's lax on right-leaning content but quick to ban critics and a reputation that turns off outsiders. It's not a neutral or balanced source—more of a community venting space than objective analysis.

That information is likely gathered from other places on the Internet. So it probably is accurate with a preface of “some say.”

I see you point about the current state of things.

But the type of content you see on X today wasn't there during Twitter, it was here though.

I think that type of content was always under the surface but there were few places that allowed it to bubble up. Now that X allows it, you see it there but on a massive scale because TD is small. X presents a giant pool of content with easy access and so we got a bit lazy over here and we borrow it because it is the easy button.

Outside of this place there are only three things I've seen people write about this board:
Heavy MAGA
Heavy Q
You get banned for disagreeing with the Q stuff or MAGA stuff

Q is old news, obviously. I followed some old youtube Q discussions. It was...odd.

Guy above says admins could post data. That might settle it. Post the names of people that got banned since Q or covid or some other event and tell AI to analyze the content from those people.

Which, at least to me, underscores that there is a large audience out there who sees things roughly the same we do. At the very least, they see it more conservatively than many social media sites allow (whether through outright bans or shadow bans).
