But it might not feel that way.

They think we don't pay attention to how much this stuff costs or something.

Walking out of a store in 2019 with two-three bags of grocery and now walking out with one for the same price today.

This a lie and hell no wages have not caught up, I have not received a 50-60% raise in pay since 2019.

I find this hard to believe. I ran out of coffee the other day and ran over to Kroger - my coffee is usually $5.99 for 10 pack of the little Keurig cups and yesterday they were $8.99, $7.99 since I have a Kroger card

For the average U.S. worker, it now takes fewer hours of work to afford a week’s worth of groceries than it did five years ago, in August 2019.

This isn’t even a real metric. They are saying that groceries are more expensive, but the “average worker” (whoever that is) makes more now so it doesn’t matter.

They also aren’t counting the fact that the quantity of food has gone down (shrinkflation)

It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grammes a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be REDUCED to twenty grammes a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.

Here is the problem for democrats on this issue. They are trying to tell voters prices aren’t as bad as you think. The economy is better than you think. Meanwhile people can go to the grocery store and see what shite cost. The know their electricity bill is much higher than is was 5 years ago. These are objective facts that can’t be explained away.

We eat a lot of beef but my family raises cattle

Mom charges me $4.00/lbs for a cow, processing included.

That's enough where it covers their cost and puts a little money in her pocket and and about 400-500 lbs of beef in the freezer

But I disagree with the author 100%.

Chicken is higher, fish is higher, literally everything that I buy, cost more

I mean shite, chicken went from 1.99 lbs to 2.99 lbs and it's pumped 35% of a water solution that I'm having to pay for. Atleast they tell you that right on the fricking package though

This stupid fricking c*nt is like 26 years old. I looked at her LinkedIn and during this time period she was doing some sort of internship after graduating from UNC in business journalism. In short, she was still living off of her fricking parents in 2019.

Just another brainwashed and brain dead fricking moron produced by our leftist university industrial DNC propaganda complex.

If food was the only thing that had gone up as explosively as it has they’d be correct.

Since absolutely everything has, no it isn’t.

I don't know if this is true or not. But, one thing I am sure of is that your " Receipts" don't include increases in wages -- because you are too ignorant to realize that wages are an important part of the affordability index.
