Add in Arizona, Texas, and Nevada. Rocker doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Neither does the ditz from Jersey but that is a separate issue. There is a crap ton of manual labor involved in the harvest of the crops that have been mentioned and many more.

It’s true though. Well not all of our food but a helluva lot of it. I know the growers and I’ve been out there with the harvesters. Automation has been making inroads but they aren’t doing everything.

Hopefully. But they sure as frick aren't right now. And even the ones that are, are worthless, more often than not. The demographics that qualify for these jobs have serious culture and entitlement problems. Younger, poorly educated, often just simply dumb as well.
We need to fix these people to make them employable. Trump 2.0 needs to address the populations that exist solely because of government largesse.

He's obviously being cheeky, but hand harvesting only accounts for about 20-40% of total fruit and vegetable production in the US, which represents only 25% of total crop value nationwide. H2A was expanded in 2023, and the number of visas issued are tied directly to labor demand. If farmers want migrant labor, they can get it. Its not terribly complicated.

We will just automate everything they do within 2 years if the Hispanics were to run away en masse. It's not a big deal.
Make NOT working more uncomfortable, then they will take third-world jobs. As long as they can still get their hair and nails done, own a car, own a cell phone, etc. then there is no need for them to work.
