But it’s not. If you knew how many low skilled Americans places like construction companies go through to put crews together your head would spin. All those guys who don’t have the experience or fit that type of work and get fired, laid off etc would gladly pick crops, drive trucks if there wasn’t a giant underpaid, immigrant workforce already doing it.

There are lots of crops you harvest in winter....IN LATIN AMERICA. So, they should have stayed there.

Illegals aren’t picking veggies, the farms have work permits.
Exactly. I promise you there are no illegals working on farms. It's not worth the risk.
Construction on the other hand...

Make NOT working more uncomfortable, then they will take third-world jobs. As long as they can still get their hair and nails done, own a car, own a cell phone, etc. then there is no need for them to work.
I am absolutely on board with all of this. But killing subsidies for not working is a totally different subject.
We're still going to need legal migrant farm workers. Antwan from the Tom Brown Village in Birmingham isn't going to CA to pick vegetables. He's going to rob me first because that's easier. We've got an entire shitty culture to destroy before we can make the dream of half of Americans not being lazy a reality again.

Often overlooked is the amount of people in sober living facilities needing jobs who will take anything. I hire guys from one and one of the most common jobs they all start out with is washing dishes at the buffet in the casinos. What would generally be considered a job for illegals but the company the casinos sub it out to can not hire illegals obviously.

Why can't those farmers, who are heavily subsidized already, go through the work visa process and keep the very system that subsidizes them in check?
You won’t hear me defend the hiring practices and the identity theft that goes into it.
Personally I’d bring back something resembling the bracero program if we have to rely upon immigrant labor.

I was part of building a manufacturing business from the ground up a few years ago. I saw first hand how it was.
We do have plenty of those hard working people left, but most aren't willing or able to go where those farm jobs are.
I absolutely believe that, if they are willing, we should create a job network that, perhaps, shuttles them seasonally between home and field, or connects them with these jobs.

Bingo, people like this are everywhere and need that type of job specifically but they can’t get em.

Off the top of my head, navel oranges, blood oranges, grapefruit, tangerines, kumquats, lemons, beets, cabbage, chard, mushrooms, kale, cauliflower, celery, and avocados typically have a January harvest.
This doesn't include crops like winter wheat and several root vegetables.
Betting Elon could come up with a fancy EV harvesting truck and we wouldn't need anymore illegal alien slaves.

You’re right but if you know anybody in small, low skilled labor businesses that hire immigrants you’ll find there’s usually 1 guy who runs his own crew then his underlings are basically a revolving door that the employer doesn’t even have to fool with. It’s just easier to hire that way, they can be subbed and there’s no paperwork so instead of going through the red tape and responsibility of hiring a citizen they can hire disposable people they’re not even responsible for.

Do you think illegals in liberal Cali aren't showing up to farms today because of Trump? Do you really buy that?
No I don’t. They’re picking winter crops like every other year. That wasn’t my point.
But sooner or later this administration will get into workplace raids. That’s when the real fun will begin. Corporate America will shite a brick because they have become dependent on quasi-slave labor imported from other countries.

Rocker is an idiot. There is always a crop in season. Go to Salinas California and you’ll realize we’re always farming something. Not everywhere is a winter wasteland.
SO you are saying illegals are out there picking all of these things?

Winter wheat is planted in the late fall and germinates over the winter on the plains, from Ok. to Wisc. through the Dakotas. Snow pack over the central plains is the key to a bumper winter wheat crop which is harvested in late June - early July.
Pray tell where are root vegetables and tubers harvested in hard frozen or semi frozen earth? Do you actually believe potatoes are harvested in Idaho in January?

If Green Chili types it, its usually a lie

I heard a rumor about this chick and several other “influencers”
They get emailed exactly what to copy/paste from Democrat leadership and they are just a shell - aka puppet
At least MAGA influencers all do everything on their own
