frick no. My old Gen X arse isn't going to pick your goddamn cotton. I spent too many years in college for that.

Americans haven't done manual crop labor for 50 years. We build machines to to that shite for us, or hire it out.

The idea that Mexicans are handpicking all of our food is such a stupid narrative. Do they hand pick some on smaller farms? Maybe but doubtful No profitable farm is handpicking in large amounts. Maybe an indoor mushroom farm but not many more I can think of.

Are they working on farms? Yes. Are they here under work visas? Also should be a yes and if not then farms hiring illegals should face fines. The visas are easy for farms to obtain. Those work visas will not stop because we deport people.

Yep. We've always had millions of legal migrant farm workers.

Unfortunately, they no longer go home, and our last president invited 20 million of their unemployed friends to come suck on the national tit.

I'm telling you, a lot of the people on this board have never crossed north of Hwy 90.

correct. Migrant farm workers are for the most part covered under the H2A program. The visas have more than doubled since Trump first took office.

If illegals were coming here to do farm work, why the frick are they flying them to Chicago and New York?

Sounds like farm owners need to apply for work visas instead of hiring illegals. Boohoo for them

It really is such a dishonest narrative or stupid narrative by the left.

They either know that farms have visas and no food prices will rise or they don’t actually know it and they are too dumb to understand the real world.

Do you think illegals in liberal Cali aren't showing up to farms today because of Trump? Do you really buy that?

Well those farms should face massive fines. It’s not hard to apply for programs and do this properly.

Those farm owners should be fined for not applying for the proper permits.

I live in the mid-west & have for 50 years, you are a fricking MORON.

Winter wheat is planted in the late fall and germinates over the winter on the plains, from Ok. to Wisc. through the Dakotas. Snow pack over the central plains is the key to a bumper winter wheat crop which is harvested in late June - early July.

Pray tell where are root vegetables and tubers harvested in hard frozen or semi frozen earth? Do you actually believe potatoes are harvested in Idaho in January?

Farms are already heavily subsidized. Why can't they practice legal hiring processes and any tax and fees that come with that and pay back into the system that gives them those subsidies?
