Congress members must get preferential healthcare, along with having their staffs to cater to their every need and fill in for them.
I can't imagine why else anyone would cling to public office when they have to know they're near the end.

Do these people just hate family? I understand not everybody is ready to retire mid to late 60’s, but by late 70’s I just don’t understand who is still this focused on work and politics. Enjoy yourself for a few before you die.

They don't really work...not like regular folks do. they don't put in 40 hours a week with 2 weeks vacation. They don't work 3 or 4 12 hour night shifts or do turn around work.
Like everyone says...they don't DO shite...and get "paid" well for it.
