There are going to be very few single family houses rebuilt. All the priority will go to these larger projects with government backing.

What does that have to do with how much things cost there?
Does the government have access to cheaper construction costs than the private sector? Can they go around the unions? Do they not have to follow their own insanely complicated and burdensome building codes? Whether they are backed by the government doesn't make building there cheaper. It just means they have an open checkbook. $101 million just doesn't get a lot done in the LA metro area.

Would be neat-O to have an independent DOGE group provide a mapping of the money flow for these government projects. I'm positive that following the money would reveal the incestuous nature of these projects.
