The land literally was owned by the state and they attempted for decades to get it developed and couldn’t.

I know that you are making a joke but it’s so rooted in truth that it should serve 4cubbies a lesson in not being so closed minded and perhaps to venture out of her “know more about what’s good for you than you do” bubble.
It could go belly up and stop today and Richland would still be better off because at least it was something bringing outside money to a region that has bled jobs money and people for decades.
But 4cubbies would deny 1000 families food on their table because it’s not the right kind of job supported by the right party.

The NELA data center will be a huge benefit to jobs around the state and especially that region as other job opportunities flow into the area.

Like it or not, AI is here and it's growing and it will become the monster that ends is. It is what it is.
But we're already in it and we cannot allow our geopolitical adversaries to develop it at a faster rate than we do. Think China cares about where they put their data centers, how much power they consume, the ecological and environmental ramifications, or the lives negatively impacted by these things? They're communist and bereft of the moral dilemmas we face. Let them win the AI race and North America will be West China in 25 years. Yes, it's that real.

I understand that there are a lot of questions and concerns with these data centers, but ideally this is the kind of place you want to build them. I would encourage people to drive and check it out. There is almost nothing around it. One of the more poor areas of the US so good potential to raise living standards in Richland and surrounding parishes.

What are the billion dollar infrastructure improvements? What else does Richland parish and the state get going forward? Is the following true?

The funny thing is she’s complaining about “only” 1000 jobs when there are < 8000 employed residents TOTAL
And she can’t act like anything “better” was coming along when it sat in the hands of the state for 20 years unsuccessfully marketing to various types of industries. This covers multiple administrations R and D
