Republican Sen. Kevin Cramer (N.D.) is placing a hold on all future Trump nominees over the administration’s approach to wetlands.
In a statement shared with The Hill, Cramer expressed disappointment that the administration is leaving a Biden-era wetland policy in place for the time being — and indicated that he would not advance the president’s nominees as a result.
quote:
“The blind defense of a Biden rule favored by environmental extremists at the expense of farmers confounds me, particularly at a time when our ag producers are hurting so badly,” he said.
“My farmers are furious and so am I. There won’t be another nominee confirmed until something changes,” he said.

Sen. Kevin Cramer (N.D.) has been anti-Trump from Day 1. This just his "justification" to block Trump's agenda to see if this shite sticks with the uneducated public.

Actually, I believe he was one of the first members of Congress to endorse Trump in his run for the 2016 GOP nomination. He voted against investigating Jan 6. He was a big supporter of the proposed DOGE cuts.
So no, he has not been “anti-Trump from Day 1”.

Where is it chiseled in stone that all rank and file Republicans must march like lemmings in terms of what Trump does or doesn't do. Hell, if I were a Republican Senator, I would be raising a hundred kinds of hell about the Iran dog and pony show, and the deliberate procrastination of the Trump Administration in reaching a conclusion.

Wasn't it actually hunters that came together and led the effort to keep this rule in effect? Is this not the rule that Field and Stream/Ducks Unlimited has been spending so much attention on?

I can't believe Trump is leaving that scam in place either.
But if still vote him in for a third term.

Get fricked. We are two fricking years into Trump’s term are you worthless fricks are still confirming nominees that are typically done a month into a presidents term.. these cocksuckers will trip all over their dicks to confirm the next democrat president’s nominees and not bat an eye but will continue to assfrick their base and the leader of the party because of muh principles. frick you and the sorry arse farmers who elect dipshit republicans like you.

I work in an industry that is agrigultural sector adjacent. The MAHA movement and RFK Jr.'s influence in HHS and over the EPA is negatively impacting farmers. I liked RFK's stance and truth telling with regard to COVID and Fauci, and I also agree there needs to be less poisonous and highly processed foods etc... but he has always been an enviromental activist crackpot and subscribes to a lot of fringe, extreme environmentalist beliefs. He needs to be reined in a bit.

frick farmers. They get so many hand outs and subsidies at it is. The entire big ag industry is a giant welfare state. Time to stand on your own two legs.

Would you also refuse to do the job you were elected for because you disagree with a single unrelated policy?
Would you also be dumb enough to not put through appointments needed to implement policies the people want simply because you didn't get everything your way?
Since when is a senator refusing to process constitutional appointments simply "not marching like a lemming" instead of being an obstructionist?
You guys don't have to live your entire lives on emotions. You can still do your job even when you're not happy about. Adults do it every day.

Do you think cock blocking nominees will get him reined in?

Where is it chiseled in stone that you must support every one of them who opposes Trump on anything?
You anti-Trump assholes whine about "cults" and "always" when you do the same God damn thing in reverse.

Give us some specifics. People just say shite.
And it will be interesting to see the conservation folks shite on Trump for conservation of wetlands. If wetlands were allowed to get drained by farmers, republicans would bitch about that too.

I understand that sentiment, believe me. I'm talking about policy not related to subsidies though.

Never in a million years would a Democrat Senator do this to a Democrat President.

Nope and I don't support that. But I do understand some of the frustration in the ag sector right now. That's all I was getting at.

I'm not being an arse; I want to know what RFK has done specifically. I don't know, I'm just curious.
And with this, it is to keep farmers from draining wetlands. People don't want to protect our border through parks. I seriously doubt they want our wetlands drained.

Trump is forcing Louisiana to sell all its wetlands to his buddy Elon musk so he can build another Chinese electric car factory

If this were Fetterman or Manchin doing this to Biden to get him to repeal this act that Cramer wants repealed, we’d all be praising them.
But this guy, who had been a Trump ally, has an angle to get President Trump to repeal this Biden Admin act, and we’re pissed he’s using it?
