Part of the Girl Scout Law is to respect authority.

That’s honestly the last thing 5 year old girls need to be taught.

so the core of the Girl Scouts creed is to respect authority, and you believe that's the last thing they should be taught...cool

but then there's this.. So why would you have your daughter in an organization where she is being taught a core tenant that you disagree with? Is it just the social aspect you want her to be part of? Do you attempt to undermine the core principals she's being taught? It sounds very counter intuitive.

I'm glad they don't come to my door. Multiple reasons not to buy that stuff, but you hate to turn down kids.

PS - Didn't they use to sell their cookies in stores, too?

Every single topic must be warped to fit some juvenile me against you narrative.

My kids know to treat people with respect. “Authority” doesn’t get special respect. Teaching children that certain adults are owed special respect is how children get exploited. I’d rather protect my daughter by teaching her to question things she’s not comfortable with than have her “respect” every adult with authority over her whether they deserve respect or not.

No, it’s not. The number one way children get exploited is when mom brings someone into the home that isn’t their dad.

You might hit a nerve with that one.

Yup 1000%
Reading the letter the abused boyscouts sent to congress, so many were from divorced families and the mom decided to replace the dad by sending them to boyscouts.
We already know about the step parent problem. All types of abuse skyrocket once the two parent household ends.

Girl Scouts let boys join too - they call them "transgender females."

I'd like to think it was MAHA starting to seep in. They are essentially made of poison.

On top of what others have said, maybe some people realized you can get exactly the same cookies off the shelf at Walmart for half the price.

BS Stats. Everyone was at home doing nothing during their 2.2 over inflated year. The next two years still felt the Covid bump. Last year was in line with the year prior to covid. Can a journalist do any sort of math?
