Eat shite, commie. You don't get to cry when people fight back.

These aren't 10 year old tweets. This is literally, knowingly lying about the assassination of a moderate.

Don’t celebrate political assassinations.

Don’t lie about who committed a political assassination in an attempt to further incite violence.

Carlin made fun of everyone, not just one side or man. Carlin also didn't make fun of the murder of someone because he didn't agree with his political or moral views. Kimmel is worse than Colbert....if that is even possible.

He wouldn't be a slave to the left. Carlin would be one of the left's most outspoken leaders.

For what exactly? He didn't use profanity. But you're right I'm clueless on FCC laws and standards. But apparently we've stumbled upon an expert. Please enlighten us.

Don't remember Carlin having a TV show.

Carlin would have been the first one to condemn the pity party for Kimmel. And the first one to say that when you open your mouth to speak you accept the consequences of your words.

It is not "cancel culture" when the final interest of a company removes an employee. Affiliates representing more than 60 ABC stations were refusing to air Kimmel. That's an economic decision. Moreover, it was not political statements that got Kimmel canned --- he's made enough of those at other times --- but his insensitivity to a national tragedy.

Cancel culture is when someone is prevented from speaking not because of economic interest but only because of their point of view. Normally, the party cancelling the speaker has no economic interest to do so, only a political interest.

Therefore, your chiding about cancel culture is misplaced and fails to understand the concept of cancel culture.

The FCC does not fine people for causing violence directly, but it can fine broadcasters for airing material that incites violence under its rules concerning hoaxes. If a broadcast incites imminent violence, the Department of Justice can also get involved in criminal charges.

Well, no shite sherlock. That is quite apparent to everyone reading this thread.

You need to remember that the population of this board is large enough it's a normal population.

So there is a median and average IQ. Half of the folks fall below that. But it isn't the median IQ for the US population. It's the median IQ of people in Louisiana and/or the South. Lower than the rest of the US.

I'm not going to do the math, but you need to consider that 60% of this board is genuinely stupid, with a good portion of those probably being functioning retards. And that isn't to be inflammatory, though I recognize it will be taken as such. If you're reading this and getting upset can you guess where you might fall?

You're talking to people with no ability to think critically. None. They buy the bait, the want to be accepted, they get confused when someone dissents because it makes them question things, which makes their brains hurt, which makes them angry. They want to wake up, eat, do their stupid job, get drunk, and be validated.

You're 100% correct, and the massive criticism you're getting is the reason that this state will forever be full of fat stupid drunk fricks.

Kimmel lied, knowingly on the public airwaves, about a crime. You can’t do that as a broadcaster.

His affiliates said, nope.

And his ratings were worse than dog shite, it's actually quite convenient for ABC to use this as a reason to cancel his show.

What a sad, little life you live.

The truly ironic part of all of this is your population isn't even correct in your hate fueled diatribe. It's a college message board that skews heavily towards college graduates. We get it, you hate those that you deem to be intellectually inferior.

This is a proud moment for me. I have never been accused of having an alter before.

I know it's very hard to come to terms with the fact that there are multiple people who don't share your opinion. In an echo chamber like this, or reddit, or facebook, you do seem to start to think everyone is on the same page.

Rest assured, there are many many people out there who see what is going on. I'm praying the courts can withstand.

I'm sure someone will link a poll showing X% of folks believe whatever issue. Polls are great for this, except that this board shat on polls every chance they got when it showed something different then what they perceived to be the truth.

The reality is that this board is full of hypocrites that want to win. Which is the exact wrong way to approach this situation. There is no winning here. There is government that has real life consequences. Consequences that you like right now, and you won't when you realize that precedent has been set and you too can be eaten.

This was bad when the left was doing it. It's not any better that the right is doing it.

How is what’s going on not cancel culture? Someone offended you with what they said so spread it online trying to trash their name and call their employer to try and get them fired. That is exactly what was happening when when the left was doing it, and now the right wants to get on board. Hell they said the exact same “freedom of speech does not mean freedom from consequences” line verbatim.

Weird how the board moderates are horrified about something they didn’t condemn five years ago
