His shop and he has the right to deny service....I don't see the big deal about that. I do imagine the thing he stated about Jesus will come back to haunt him on oh so many levels though!

You mean drinking coffee out of large containers while eating a pre packaged microwaved sandwich and checking out the last huffington post article?
Somebody has never been to Starbucks. Our espresso is in very small containers. A 16 ounce would kill a large goat. And nobody with any class eats a sammich at SB. I have the oatmeal with dried fruit, a dash of vanilla powder and a dash of cinnamon.
And they don't have huffpo. I read USA Today and WSJ (to check out my stocks...they're doing really well under Trump).
I will admit that some of my associates indulge in the scones now and then.

What a dumbass! He has now made it known that pro-lifers are not welcome in his shop. That's roughly half of his potential customer base. Smooth business move, Sparky.
BTW - anyone else find it comical that he suggested the Christians wouldn't be tolerating his stupid faggoty arse, when in fact they are at his shop engaging in free commerce with him, and not one of them blinked an eye when he said he was gay. Once he found out they were actually tolerant, he had to ratchet things up a few notches to make them leave.
Again, what a dumbass.

I updated the OP with a quote from Bedlam's facebook page:
quote:
Just to be clear, these are the people that were thrown out [ thetenthmark dot com ] visit the page, look at the hateful disgusting things they are about. They came in in hopes of disruption (in their own words-BUT WE HAVE COME TO INVADE YOUR SAFE SPACE.) The pictures of aborted fetus' at the hands of gays that we found hidden in the store are possibly the most offensive images I've ever seen. They spent the day putting stickers on everything they could in the neighborhood. the hypocrisy of these groups is truly profound.

I'm a Christian; I wish these militant, misguided, in-your-face zealots, would actually spend some time in God's Word, discovering how we're supposed to engage unbelievers.
This type of behavior isn't going to win converts. We are supposed to treat all people with respect. We win others to Christ, more often, by how we live our lives, not by what comes out of our mouths.

Here is they group's website.
The Tenth Mark
You can scroll down and see the photo, but it's extremely disturbing. I'm not sure if I could even post it here without breaking the rules.

Don't post it. Dear god, don't post it.

Yeah. frick those assholes.

quote:This actually infuriates me on their part. Not only would that be disturbing to anyone, and definitely something one wouldn't want anywhere near their business (especially one the serves food and/or drinks), it's meant to target homosexuals in particular, probably to get the reaction they got.
Don't post it. Dear god, don't post it.
And then making a deceiving video, of the reaction they intended without context, then hiding behind a prolife message is just absolutely despicable.
They are really doing a disservice to everyone, actual Christians and prolife advocates included.

Of course you have the right to do this but why piss people off for no reason?
Actually, they don't, which is the problem.
You cannot discriminate based on race, sex, religion.
As long as the laws exist, they should be used in all instances.
I don't get all the people saying it's his right. The law is clear. Religion is just as much a protected class as race. You can't put out a "No Christians" sign any more than you can put out a "No Blacks" sign.
edit: if the quote above is true..."They came in in hopes of disruption (in their own words-BUT WE HAVE COME TO INVADE YOUR SAFE SPACE.) The pictures of aborted fetus' at the hands of gays that we found hidden in the store are possibly the most offensive images I've ever seen."...then yes, he does have the right to ban them from his store. There's a difference between selling them a cup of coffee and allowing them to distribute/leave literature, harass customers, etc.

He has the right to kick out people putting graphic images of aborted babies on his property.
Posted on 10/3/17 at 4:01 pm to indianswim
This is a win/win for us on the right. If these prolifers Sue and win, a flaming liberal gets hoist on his own petard. If they sue and lose, a legal precedent for the right to refuse service has been established in that circuit.

I personally believe his shop, his choice.
However, since they crucified the Christian baker they need to run this fairy out of business.

If this all happened, then frick them. No one should be going around trying to disrupt anything.
And he should be able to deny them service for anything he wants.

Yeah, that crosses the line of decency. Totally opposite of Christ's example. He ate with sinners; He didn't hang out with the hypocritical Pharisees.
He let sinners know their lives held great value, and their souls infinitely more.
This approach, to shock people, isn't going to help anyone realize their need for salvation.
