And to add insult to injury, Trump had his boot on their neck and inexplicably took it off in order to give them time to “negotiate” and then they exerted de facto control over the Strait of Hormuz and here we are now.

Yeah...it just shows you in politics how quickly things can change. The only problem is this one is it really put us in a 2008 type hole that is going to take quite some time to get out of. Last night was not about abortion, or socialism, or Israel...it was just that everything sort of sucks right now.

We saw several Blue states swing right in 2024 (Trump only lost New Jersey by 5?), so anything can happen. I think it is almost a forgone conclusion that we will have a Democrat President in 2028, but they will be under the same pressure.

Israel did what they’ve always done. If Trump had a spine it would t have happened.

Yes, because paying $0.30 more at the pump

Imagine being so fricking retarded that you think that filling your tank at the pump is the only place you get impacted by high fuel costs.

The national average for diesel on January 1, 2024 was $3.88 to $3.98

On November 2 it was $6.29.

To suggest that this is just about an extra 30 cents per gallon when you fill up is the height of economic stupidity.

The price of everything you buy goes up significantly. Every. fricking. Thing.

Some posters here are just hopelessly stupid.

I got you. Yeah, I’m mad that he’s the first to bend in such a way, but they’ve been trying at it for long enough for me to always be annoyed at them.

I feel pretty sure Iran could have been dealt with after the midterms. Very imprudent decision to attack Iran.

You can talk about 100 different things that led to the midterm disaster, but the war in Iran is the only reason this happened.

I think the way the war was being covered by MSM and how Trump responded to the coverage was more damaging

The US has been talking about taking out Iran for 45 years, nobody had the balls to do it

I told you in the other thread diesel was going through the roof regardless of Iran.

Your TDS is off the charts.

I think the election was going this way no matter what Trump did.

The biggest political blunder by any president in our lifetime

After he campaigned on the promise of no new wars.

I don’t agree.

I think at most it’s 35% of why it happened.

Republicans showing they have not one urge to implement the things we think will help the country is most of the issue, imo.

yeah here we are now, not quite the way it is being portrayed by the MSM

I said this last night

quote:

they are already cooked
the iran war is effectively over
their dark fleet is empty
they are selling 0 oil now. all their oil stores are sold
they have no oil production available for export
13-14mm bpd through hormuz and 0 of it from iran
their economy is dead
they have 89% inflation and rising daily

you will see, the war will end with a whimper on a signed document
not a bang

they are neutered on the world stage
we dont talk about lebanon any more, or hamas
their iranian money is gone

this is where we are

Not with this much volume.

If gas was around $2 and rents were dropping it would look totally different.

Now I’m thinking Trump may very well get impeached and convicted.

alignment with big tech on things like data centers

People aren’t mentioning this factor enough

Data centers and AI are one of the few things a lot of folks on both sides agree on, and Trump and the Republicans wen’t completely the other way

Voting for Democrats because gas prices are high is the definition of insanity. Does anyone remember gas prices under Biden?

not even close

READ MY LIPS, NO NEW TAXES

was easily the most devastating self own in our lifetime, it cost GHWB a second term. Trump isn't running for office again.
