As much as I love to use the “Well, you voted for this shite” - this is not a time to say this because it can happen in any city in this country whether it’s a Republican or Democrat city
Their sheriff is elected. He spoke at the DNC; he spoke about, specifically, how the Democrats have been great with the border and how terrible it was, and will be if elected again, during the Trump presidency. He also spoke about how crime is down all over TX especially in his county.
Bexar county went for Biden by about 59% in 2020 despite being the first in line major city on the road up from Mission/Laredo.
Joaquin Castro, 20th congressional district, was unopposed in the Dem primary and won lopsidedly by 68.4% of the vote.
In the Beto vs. Cruz senate election Bexar went for Beto at 59.5%
The previous Bexar county Sherriff, Almonte, was appointed US Marshal and had to resign or be fired. He was a long time narcotics officer. As part of his resignation in lieu of firing the investigation findings, believed to be narcotics and cartel related, were kept from the public. He has since been working with NGOs on the border handling illegals as a security consultant.

Abbott is useless and has been for years. I'm sure if a deep dive was done, it would show the owner of this apartment complex donating to his campaign fund, similar to the owners of Colony Ridge in Liberty. I'm amazed that people still think Abbott is an effective Governor.
