My two cents:
We should have been proactively building pipelines to the Arabian Sea and the Red Sea (for those confused, these are not the Persian Gulf but the seas on the south and west sides of the Arabian peninsula).
However, can’t Houthi drones hit both of these outlets?
I’m pulling for a solution. But is there a really great solution?
I do think toppling Venezuela was a good idea before hand too. Production needs to ramp up in a big way.
Guyana is a huge untapped reserve as well.

Not an alter. Found the Rant after the 38-3 Rose Bowl to read some Bama tears. Stumbled on the poli board this summer and finally made an account.
A big part of my political interests is the "politics". The strategy. The love of the game if you will.
I have certain leanings, but I find what and why the parties do what they do more interesting then policy. They don't follow through on most of that anyway. And rage bate, from either side, doesn't work on me.

Remember a democrat congress prevented Trump from filling the reserves when oil was near zero dollars per barrel in his first term.
Remember Biden tapped the reserves prior to the midterms during high inflation to keep gas prices low to help the democrats retain both houses of congress

Why do you think from Dec 2024 to Dec 2025 Trump and the GOP congress only added 19 million barrels 394 to 413? While drawing up Iran war plans?
Google says 200m barrels can be added in a calender year.

According to the recent Vance interview "no nukes" is now goal #2.
I have to believe saying lower gas prices is now goal #1 was calculated. It wasn't a gotcha question by the MSM with an edited answer. It was stated on a planned Fox News sit down.

Price of gas is not because of the price of oil. Oil price is not really that high but the gasoline price has not come down enough because the demand for refined products is high.

For example, in August 2022, the average U.S. gasoline price was approximately $4.09 per gallon for regular unleaded fuel. As of mid-August 2026, the average U.S. gasoline price is approximately $4.07 per gallon.
But, but, but because of Bidinflation, our $1 just does not buy as much.
