With Vance coming out and saying lower gas prices in now our strategic goal at the same time Trump ia floating the rebranding of the Straight of Hormuz to the Straight of America are they showing us the exit strategy?
Get Google to change the name like they did for the Gulf of Mexico? Coincide it with a withdrawal as the summer travel season ends, resulting in gas prices dropping before the election?

Prices are lower now, by far, than they were when Biden was "potus".

Indeed. For some reason, the folks who know all the words to Rocky top are incapable of understanding that maybe 25 to 30% of every barrel of oil comprises a fear tax that Iran's historic chokehold on the world energy market has baked into it.
Secretary Bessent has been very open about coordinating with the surrounding Nations to bypass the straight in favor of overland pipelines. Every day that passes, we are loosening the chokehold that the puppet regime in Iran has held over the price of oil across the globe.

Exactly. Which is why the blockade remains and POTUS Trump does not negotiate. I pray he makes it clear. Big time economic pressure hits this coming week on Iran.

When the SPR is empty, trump will bend over like a bitch.

The SPR is under 300M barrels now. First time in 45 yrs. If it goes to 170M barrels, the caverns have to be rebuilt and are unusable after that, so 170M, is essentially zero.
You'd only get below that value if you are in an extreme apocalypse situation. If they withdraw below that mark, just to manipulate the market, then it's even dumber than starting the war. It's economic suicide in the longterm, which we're already on the path to.

Biden’s green new deal policies were just as idiotic as Trump attacking Iran. Both can be true and it’s ok to point that out. Trump ran on lower gasoline and energy prices Biden did not so this makes it even worse. The “but Biden!” defense doesn’t work here to anyone that isn’t a raging sycophant.

It will not be empty.
However, you bent over like a bitch long ago.

a lot of silly and or stupid replies all on half a page

POTUS Trump also said it will be rough before it gets real easy. I believed him when he said it. It is too bad he can not get his appointments approved. But his success is quite obvious.

Fair enough about prices under Bidem. Not sure what that has to do with now. This and most midterm elections are a referendum on the man and party currently in the White House.
I don't see anything that can be done Iran wise to gain votes at this point. The only political move is to get less people pissed off so that they stay home, and don't bother to vote against the GOP. Lower gas prices are the best chance at this.
Sure they are cranking up the Muslim and Trans stuff again (see the wnba). But those don't work as well with economic problems present.
The rebranding of the Straight is getting thrown in for Trump's ego so he'll sign off on it.

Did you check with everybody to confirm that they believe that to be true, or are you merely stating something just you believe to be true, aka an “opinion?”

Trump needs to just claim a win and go home. Maybe he can get a piece of tolls from Oman or something. JD and Caine seem to be the voices of reason.

Should have taken the fricking island and secured the straight back in April. The political fallout would have come and gone and we’d be on to other things. Instead we made a bunch of promises to the Iranian people, got cold feet over gas prices and spent months negotiating and we are still at square 1…If we weren’t willing to take the island day 1, we had zero business getting involved.

Exactly what makes you believe that Kharg is THE key to completely controlling the strait??

Why are all the dumb alters always big ten accounts? It’s almost like it’s by design or the same person creating accounts

This point intrigues me. I think politically what I proposed earlier may be the only chance the GOP has for keeping the House and avoiding some uncomfortable hearings/investigations that will cut the admin off at the knees and hurt them in the election in 2028.
Now if they don't withdrawl and declare victory before the election, as you say, do "what they want" they're basically throwing in the towel for the House and playing with fire with the Senate. That would speak on who really is calling the shots.
