really sad that your relationships with your and your wife parents is so poor that they refuse to help take care of the kids. you can fix that, without gov't help

This is a tired old tactic from the left.

They take a system and corrupt it, and as soon as the first republican endeavors to fix it, he gets accused of hating the people said system was designed to help. We saw it with social security, SNAP, and now this.

So... your wife values pursuing her professional career over raising her children. Got it.

So would giving everyone $1 million. That makes as much sense as government paying for your childcare.

What next after that? It's always something libs want for free.

If you really want to know what's good for the economy.....make people work for what they want. If all the takers would get off their lazy arse and work this economy would be unbelievable and we wouldn't have all this turmoil from the left.

Quit giving everything away.

That’s short-sided and shows you aren’t thinking outside of your community bubble.

Early in our marriage we didn’t live near either of our parents. Not everyone married someone from their small town and lived their entire life in the same neighborhood as their parents. Many of our friends did. That was never what we wanted.

And to the poster who said “women belong in the kitchen” I assume that was a poor attempt at humor. But in the event posters actually think that, you can choose to rear your household the way you like. If you want your wife to stay at home, be my guest.

On the other hand, my wife saved lives (including delivering babies at times) while working in the ER early in our marriage. She chose to give back to her community while pursuing a career and also being a mother. She couldn’t have done all of this when our kids were young without daycare.

It’s no different than parents who use public schools.

My wife and I pay for childcare.

Why should certain people get a free ride?

Equal protection means equal.

Local taxes?

On the other hand, would you send your child to school in the inner city (free or not)?

Lastly, are your children trans, because odds based on your posting history suggest an answer?

Three things the govt should not be involved in: 1. Funding childcare 2. Healthcare 3. subsidized housing

My wife would not have been able to pursue her professional career without access to childcare, and many of the daycares we relied on when our children were infants and toddlers were small, neighborhood businesses supported by these subsidies.

Considering she can't tell the difference between a man and a woman she should not be in the workforce.

But, if there are no children there, and it’s just a front to launder money, it’s not really a daycare.

If you show up to a daycare at 1pm to film the grifter clip and the daycare doesn’t open until 2pm chances are no children will be there.

Why do you think a day care that is closed 80% of the working day is legitimate? Proper day cares are open very early.

What has the government to do with daycare?

Nothing.

People want daycare, they can pay for it. Not the government.

Improving access to childcare through government subsidies has a profound impact on the economy. Many of the workers we rely on every day are able to participate in the workforce only because affordable childcare is available.

MAGA:

Step 1 - Ban abortion no matter the parents circumstance.

Step 2a - Yell at clouds if parent needs subsidies to stay home and take care of child.

Step 2b - Yell at clouds if parents need childcare subsidies so they can actually go to work.

Step 3 - ???

I agree with no form of socialism, including free childcare to anyone. Pay your own bills! I,m not helping.

Those government subsidized daycares and pre K churn out some of the dumbest kids America. And from there they go on to be the usual suspects.

Return to family/community/church based services.

Believe it or not, before Uncle Sam took over... communities had the ability to band together and help one another.

Furthermore, when the consequences are more acute, people tend to be more cautious in their risk tolerance.

I wonder what the cost of daycare would be, if the gov’t had never started subsidizing it
